My husband, myself and our two young boys (ages 8 and 10) booked the surf bus for a day at the North Shore. We heard it was a part of the island that we had to see. Even though it was summer and we knew the big waves wouldn't be there we still wanted to see it. And my goodness so thankful we did. Not only did this tour take us to the north shore they brought us up the east side of the island where we witnessed the most amazing views. The island of Oahu is absolutely extraordinary. Our guide (sam) was fun and informative. A true native that knows the area. He explained so much and pointed out things we wouldn't have seen. It wasn't just a script, he shared stories. Made it fun and easy. You get plenty of time to enjoy the different stops. We choose to snorkel sharks cove at our first stop and enjoyed some fresh shrimp at the food trucks. Next stop in the small north shore town we tried SUP for the first time. It was a small river where the water was calm and easy for us beginners to get our legs under us. We didnt see any sea turtles but that is ok. We still enjoyed every minute. The goal of this tour is the see as much as you can, but not from the window of a bus. To get out to touch, see, and smell. We didnt want to ride along in a circle tour bus to just snap pictures, and quick rushed 10 mins stops along the way but to really expierence the magnificence of the island. That is what we recieved. 10 out of 10 this tour is worth it. Not to mention when my hotel told me I couldnt book it bc there wasnt enough people booked. I called directly, they made special accommodations to get us on the tour. They truely care and want to give you an expierence you wont forget. Great people, lots of fun, perfect day!!!
Family road trips along the coast are truly special, especially when you step off the bus to touch and see the island up close. As I was paddle boarding up the canal and saw the 'Adventure Awaits' sign, I knew I was already there. The day started at a local coffee grower and a stop at the beach to spot sea turtles. Loved the personalized small tour with whale sightings and snorkeling with sea urchins and beautiful fish that looked like mirrors in the sun. Cousin G seems to know everyone and the best spots. And, yes the shrimp plate in Shark Cove is delicious. Promise not to stalk you at Costco, Cousin G.

A great tour of the island, definately a must. Cousin G our driver and host for the day was amazing and funny. Lots of information and local knowledge. Totally worth the price. The mini bus was comfy and air conditioned very pleasant ride for our day.

This was so much better than anticipated and worth every penny! Everything was planned and accommodated for enough time to have fun! We snorkeled, battles boarded and a couple in our group did the water fall. Uncle Kevin was knowledgeable and entertaining!

A remarkable experience! I chose The Surf Bus for 2 reasons: one, they have amazing reviews and two, because its the only one that pick you up from the west side resorts. I took the activity with my family and was simply amazing. The driver Sam, was super kind, knowledgeable and professional. The sightseeings are breathtaking. And the highlight of the day for us was the kaiak activity where we had the chance to see turtles (very big ones btw) Highly recommended! Dont think twice!
