We spent a day at Kinabalu Park with our guide Chris and we loved it! He told us the history of Sabah, showed us the fauna and flora of Borneo. We were lucky enough to see Mount Kinabalu clear as well as the Rafflesia, a flower endemic to Borneo. We were also able to visit a local market and swim in waterfalls in the middle of the park. It was really a beautiful experience that we recommend.
We had a really nice day with our guide Chris Hamimi who explain a lot of things. Highly recommended.
I participated as a solo traveler. The booking site required at least two people, but when I contacted them directly after arriving in Kota Kinabalu, they replied quickly that solo travel was also okay, which was a great help. The tour includes trekking to the SILAU-SILAU TRAIL in Kinabalu Park and the waterfall at Poring Hot Springs, and we were lucky enough to see the Rafflesia (RM30). (The Kinabalu Park botanical garden was not included.) Unfortunately, due to traffic on the day, I got home late, but the content was satisfying. Thank you to John and Chris for everything.
Our guide Chris was fantastic - he was very flexible and helpful. We were very lucky to get the opportunity to see the Rafflesia flower in full bloom. Enjoyed every part of this day trip!
Chris, our guide, was excellent. He had great knowledge and paced the day well with a great walk through Mt Kinabalu park and to the waterfall at poring hot springs.

I had an amazing day with Chris and our group! Chris was not only a friendly and personable guide, but also incredibly informative! He provided many interesting facts and pointed us in the direction of all the amazing things the parks had to offer. Had so much fun with our small but diverse group, Chris expertly accommodated us all and successfully made sure we all had a great day. Excellent way to spend a day in Kota Kinabalu!
Have a good tour in Kinabalu park and Poring hot spring and you have a chance to see Rafflesia if you want and have an extra pay. Roger is a very nice guide. Recommend this tour if you have a limited time in KK.
The pickup time was 7:00am, but the driver came at 7:40am. The driver insisted the information from TripAdvisor was wrong. He was not polite.

We had the most wonderful day out with Chris (Hamimi@Chris) at the National Park and Hot Springs! We selected the private tour to give us a more bespoke trip, and Chris accommodated everything - from finding waterfalls and taking us to see the rare rafflesia flowers, to recommending a good stop for coffee.
