The experience with Altezza climbing Kilimanjaro was the best it could possibly be. The guides were extremely knowledgeable, professional, and helpful in any situation. And they also brought humor to the trip and kept spirits up in our group. The meal service was outstanding. We received nutritious freshly cooked meals every day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, which I'm not sure how they were able to pull off on the side of a mountain!

The trek was the experience of a lifetime! The trip was well planned out and I got to relax and spend my main time just focusing on enjoying the beauty around me and the people I was with. My guides were Osward Silaa, Joseph Mgonja, Gama Samwel, Eliangiringa Roman Mongi, and Gaudence Nabaku Massawe. They made it such a fun and safe journey. And they shared great stories. We also had incredible and filling meals served by our chef’s Pius Godson Siara and Humphrey Gerald Minja. They even made one member of our trip a birthday cake! Our waiters were attentive and kind: Samwel Christopher Msuya and Kanambora Justo Swai. Our camp master kept everyone’s things in order and always had the camp ready when we arrived: Rashida Mtego and Roger’s Mkanga. Finally our summit assistants made all the difference in us reaching the top. Carrying tea and even our things when we needed help. Thankful for Amani Gabriel Mmbando, Benedict Madangi Sulle, and Haroon Wawa. Along with these folks there is a long list of amazing porters, I wish I could name them all. If you’re thinking about booking a trip, just do it, and ask for these wonderful people!

We chose to climb Kilimanjaro for our honeymoon, and what an incredible adventure it turned out to be. It exceeded every expectation from start to finish and gave us memories that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. After carefully comparing the different operators, we decided to go with Altezza Travel, and they made us feel confident and reassured from day one, thanks to Denis, our sales specialist. Before arriving, we naturally had a few concerns: the climb itself, the weather, how we would adapt to the altitude... But we also wondered about the comfort of the expedition, the cleanliness of the tents and the rental equipment, and the overall organization. Every single one of those concerns disappeared within hours. Everything far exceeded our expectations. What can we say about the experience itself? The landscapes were absolutely breathtaking. The organization was flawless. And the crew... simply extraordinary. Every morning, we would set off on our hike, and by the time we reached the next camp, everything was already perfectly prepared: our tent, the private toilet we had rented, hot tea, popcorn or lunch depending on the time of day. On longer hiking days, members of the crew even set up refreshment stations along the trail with snacks and drinks. We couldn't believe the level of care and attention that went into every detail. Summit night was, of course, the toughest part of the journey. Not because of the weather—which was actually on our side—but because the altitude and exhaustion really started to kick in. Thankfully, Polite, Ally, Denis and Jackson stayed by our side every step of the way. They constantly encouraged us, made sure we were warm, hydrated and eating enough, and somehow always knew exactly what we needed. Their kindness, patience and positivity made all the difference. Reaching Uhuru Peak at sunrise was one of the most emotional moments of our lives. Standing above the clouds as the sun came up is something we'll never forget. A special thank you to Polite and Ally for perfectly timing our ascent so that we could experience this magical moment. A huge thank you to Altezza Travel for organizing such an exceptional expedition. And an even bigger thank you to the most incredible crew we could have wished for. You took exceptional care of us every single day, patiently answered all of our questions, shared your passion for the mountain and made sure we never missed any of its hidden treasures. To Raymond, the most talented (and incredibly flexible!) chef: we still don't understand how you managed to prepare such delicious and varied meals in the middle of the mountain. Every meal was a wonderful surprise. To Steven, thank you for looking after us throughout the trek with such kindness and attention. To our camp master, BillDaddy (Bildard): your energy, enthusiasm and smile could light up an entire mountain. And finally, to Denis and Jackson, the next generation of guides: you accompanied us all the way to the summit with unwavering encouragement and professionalism. My brother and I did the 7-day Lemosho trek with Altezza in mid-July and could not have asked for a better experience. Everything completely exceeded our expectations in terms of logistics and comfort - we were cooked delicious meals, made to be as comfortable as humanly possible considering the conditions of the mountain, and were often provided help for things we didn’t even ask for. The guides, porters, chefs, waiters, and everyone else on our team truly made the experience for us; they were some of the kindest people we’ve ever met, filled the experience with laughter and fun, and made us feel incredibly safe. My brother had some altitude-related health issues on the mountain that ultimately precluded him from summiting, but we felt that the guides struck the right balance of allowing him to still make the attempt while monitoring him closely to make sure he was never in real danger, and then made the correct call in taking him back down to base camp when he could no longer safely go on. We both feel that the trip was so enjoyable and meaningful overall that summiting was only a small part of the reward. Could not recommend more!

I’ve met incredible people - the group, the guides, the porters and everybody in the team! Altezza managed to make every individual feel cared for and safe during the seven days. This includes every meal, every hike, every briefing and all in between. I want to recommend Altezza if you value safety and professionalism while climbing Kilimanjaro. I’m so grateful for every single experience during these last seven days.

The trek was great, our guides made sure we were able to acclimate for our trek, we did acclimation hikes for some days to get used to the oxygen difference on the next trail the following day. The service was great and I learned a lot of Swahili from the full team supporting us through the hike.

Together with my son (16), I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro with Altezza in July. The entire organization went great, starting from the booking, to the preparation, reception at the airport, briefing at the hotel, and of course the tour itself. The entire management crew under the leadership of Joshua (Eunice, Mark, Pau, Elias Kim) was very competent and we felt comfortable and well accompanied at all times. The food was exquisite and the tents and other infrastructure were also top-notch! We can 100% recommend a climb with Altezza!

He led an extremely professional operation and was hilarious.
