Thamel es el punto de partida del recorrido. Un centro turístico vibrante, tiene de todo, desde hoteles hasta restaurantes, tiendas, spa, clubes, lo que sea. Abordará su rickshaw en Thamel y continuará hasta Asan.
Ubicado en el corazón de Katmandú, Asan es un mercado histórico donde puedes encontrar prácticamente cualquier cosa que desees, desde especias y hierbas hasta productos electrónicos y ropa. Asan, que suele estar repleta de compradores, también está salpicada de templos ocasionales y monumentos antiguos a los lados de las calles. Aquí pasa y mira a tu alrededor mientras te paras frente al Templo de Annapurna, el templo de la Diosa de la abundancia, donde Anna significa Comida y Purna, significa Cumplimiento. A lo largo del camino pasarás por diferentes templos como el de Seto Machindranath, también conocido como Janabaha Dyo, una deidad adorada tanto por hindúes como budistas en Katmandú, y Aakash Bhairab Primer Rey en Nepal Bhasa, conocido como Rey Yalambar. Viajarás en tu rickshaw por las estrechas calles de Asan hasta llegar a la Plaza Durbar de Katmandú.
Con más de 50 templos y santuarios a pocas cuadras unos de otros, la Plaza Durbar de Katmandú contiene uno de los grupos más concentrados de estructuras históricas del valle. Este complejo de palacios, patios y templos, construido entre los siglos XII y XVIII, solía ser la sede de los antiguos reyes Malla de Katmandú. Otro punto llamativo que es notablemente visible y que no debería dejar de mencionarse. Dentro de los antiguos templos y lugares de madera, también verá un edificio blanco de influencia europea, Gaddhi Baithak, que fue construido durante el régimen de Rana. Unfortunately, a heavy rain started early in the tour, making it difficult to see some of the sites or see out from under the cover of the rickshaw. Stopped for tea and made the best of the rainy evening.

Lovely to experience kathmandu in the evening and by rickshaw. Guide was very knowledge and informative. Enjoyed learning the history and seeing old kathmandu as well. Dunbar square was a highlight.

The tour was a great experience and a wonderful way to know Thamel and Durbar Square if you are new to Nepal. The rickshaw ride itself is so safe and the driver is a very jovial and supportive person. The tour guide is wonderful - she is chirpy, talkative and full of wonderful stories about Kathmandu and the culture. She gives you time to roam around personally too, and answers any questions. Durbar square is a beautiful place even at night - lively, cultural, and not very touristy - you get to see a slice of how locals in Kathmandu spend their weekends. Highly recommend.
It was a great night time tour with Bini, seeing some of the hidden gems of Themal and beyond. I got to see some great sites and experience the fast pace of a rickshaw.
