KATHMANDU FULL DAY SIGHTTSEEING TOUR (6 horas)

Booked directly with them. Had several issues. Our flights was canceled so we arrived a day later to Kathmandu. No refund on day 1 transfer - maybe understandable. Next day I had booked the UNESCO tour. Great driver - tour guide unfortunately very disappointing. Not a licensed tour guide, no historical information and we zig zagged all over town because he had no plan and didn't get to all of them. - Also, a good company will include the entry fees to the scheduled sites. We were shocked to have to pay them every time since a UNESCO tour should include entry fees and the tour guide gets them. We also did the morning flight over the Himalayas - all was great there. We booked through them a 3 night Bhutan trip. They hired a wonderful company - greenbhutantours.com . That company was amazing. I was disappointed that Vyas told us the tour would end at noon but instead we were back at 9AM which meant we had a 5 hour layover (I booked the next flight according to their info). Not a great domestic terminal to hang out in. They said they could get us an earlier flight to Chitwan but I had already checked and the earlier flights were full. * Also, they could have bought us assigned flight seats ($5 extra) to sit on the side of the plane that looks out to the Himalayas but no, they wait to buy them so that none are available. HINT - if you travel to Bhutan from KTM take seat A going - seat F going back. The driver was great and punctual but the frustrations with the tour guide for 2 days, the flight issue and seats and lack of accurate agenda left me with a very negative experience.
It was a good tour, the tour guide was knowledgeable and helpful and a really great guy. The sites were amazing and I was even able to have lunch with my tour guide. The unfortunate part was that the tour company said they cancelled my tour while I was on the tour because a tour for one person wasn't worth it. Well, it was not and still is not cancelled on Viator. So they harassed me during the tour about paying them at the end. I said it was paid for and not cancelled. I even contacted Viator who also said it was not cancelled. Since, the tour guide has twice come to my hotel looking for me and demanding I pay, and joined me on my private dinner tonight demanding that I pay. The tour operator talked to me and demanded I prove that I have paid on Viator. I would definitely not recommend this tour company and I have never had an experience like this with Viator. Choose a different company for your piece of mind and peace of travels.
I’m really sorry to hear about the issues you’ve encountered during your trip. It’s unfortunate when something like this disrupts the experience, especially when the tour itself and the guide seemed to meet your expectations. Clear communication about payment and cancellations is crucial, and it’s concerning that there was confusion between the tour company and Viator. Your feedback is valuable, and I hope the company takes steps to resolve this situation so others don’t have similar experiences. I’m glad to hear that the guide was great, but I completely understand how the payment and harassment during your stay would have overshadowed your overall enjoyment. I hope you find a more seamless and stress-free tour experience next time, and that this situation gets resolved for you quickly.

This was my absolute favorite tour during my time in Kathmandu! My guide, Hemant, was amazing and a wealth of knowledge!!! I was expecting transport only to each of these places but he accompanied meat each stop and gave me the full history of everything! I also appreciated the offers for the extra stops to learn about the mandala paintings as well as the vibrational sound therapy. I found the Hindu temple/crematorium a bit disturbing but also fortunate to learn about another aspect of Hindu culture. It was my last full day in Kathmandu and I can't think of a better way to have spent it 🙂 It was so interesting, informative and enjoyable! Thank you!!!
Dear Ferreira, Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience with us! We're thrilled to hear that your tour with our guide, Hemant, was the highlight of your time in Kathmandu. Hemant is indeed an exceptional guide, and we're delighted that his knowledge and passion for the history and culture of our region made your tour so memorable. We believe in providing immersive experiences for our guests, and we're glad that Hemant went above and beyond by accompanying you at each stop and sharing the rich history behind them. It's fantastic to hear that you appreciated the additional offers to explore mandala paintings and experience vibrational sound therapy – these are indeed unique facets of our culture that we love to showcase. We understand that the Hindu temple/crematorium might have been a bit unsettling, but we're grateful that you approached it with an open mind and saw it as an opportunity to learn more about Hindu culture from a different perspective. It warms our hearts to know that we could contribute to making your last full day in Kathmandu so special and meaningful. Your words truly inspire us to continue providing interesting, informative, and enjoyable experiences for all our guests. Once again, thank you for choosing us, and we hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back in the future for more unforgettable adventures! Warm regards, Dipson
I visited the city of Kathmandu and spent the entire week I was there with my friend, this tour was more than just a tourist tour, it was first and foremost an encounter with a guy who didn't know me, opened the doors of his home to me, gave me an experience you can't buy, and became my friend. A friend I'll never forget. If everyone had that much humanity, the world would be a better place.
Dear Filipe, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your heartfelt experience in Kathmandu. It warms our hearts to hear that your trip transcended the boundaries of a typical tourist tour and became a genuine encounter with Dipson. Opening the doors of his home and offering an experience money can't buy is a true testament to his exceptional hospitality. Your kind words about Dipson's humanity and the lasting friendship you formed with him truly touched us. We believe that genuine connections have the power to make the world a better place, and it fills us with joy to know that Dipson's warmth and generosity have left a lasting impact on you. On behalf of Dipson and the entire team, please accept our heartfelt gratitude for choosing our services and for embracing the true essence of your trip. We hope that your beautiful memories will continue to bring you joy and inspire others to seek meaningful connections on their own journeys. Once again, thank you for your heartfelt review. We would be delighted to welcome you back anytime. Warm regards, Sunil Customer Experience Team at Dipson Tours
It was a great pleasure to be shown around by Dipson, who was born and raised in the center of Kathmandu. It immediately feels like a good friend who both makes time and gives a little of himself and his own background. We saw all the highlights and Dipson's knowledge was great. Good car and everything on time. When a few days later we had a visa problem (India), we again contacted Dipson who immediately took action and helped us all the way until everything was in place. Many thanks from us Catherine and Franz
Dear Catharina and Franz, It brings me immense joy to read your lovely review! Having you on the tour was truly a pleasure, and it was fantastic to share my knowledge of Kathmandu with you. When my guests feel they've gained a friend in me, I know I've done my job well. I'm delighted that you enjoyed all the highlights, and it means a lot to me that you appreciated my knowledge. Ensuring my guests have a memorable experience is always my goal. Assisting you with the visa issue in India was a given for me. We are not just a tour guide and guests; we are also friends, and it's important for me to support you even after the tour is over. I'm relieved that everything got resolved, and you got your visa sorted. Thank you so much for your kindness and trust. It was an honor to have you as guests, and I hope our paths cross again in the future. Safe travels and continued adventures! Best regards, Dipson
I have only given this tour 3 stars because of my tour guide Sonica who was friendly and knowledgeable. The tour overall was unprofessionally conducted. We were supposed to meet at our hotel at 10 am but we only actually started at 11. I had to call 3 different people to understand what the problem is and no one offered genuine support, each person would simply give another person’s number. No explanations or apologies made. My guide showed up at 10:40 alone and we then had to wait for the driver and after a number of calls and conversations we were finally able to meet him close to the hotel. While I enjoyed my conversations with Soni and was able to understand the Nepalese culture so much better, I felt a bit uncomfortable in some parts of the conversation where she would discuss politically incorrect/ personal topics. I would not recommend this tour.
Thank you so much for your response. We try to fulfill your every needs during the tour but I'm really sorry for the inconveniences. Thank you for your honest opinions. We will try to overcome our shortcomings.
This day tour of some of the top places in Kathmandu was well worth it. Our guide Pawan was pleasant and informative and allowed us the right amount of time at each site visited. I was very happy also to be able to witness a cremation along a river at the Hindu Temple -something i had not seen before. Would recommend this tour very much.
