Nuestro experimentado guía de historia y cultura lo lleva en transporte privado a la plaza Durbar de Katmandú, que es un antiguo palacio real. Hay muchos templos de pagodas con ventanas bien talladas y más. Los templos son muy históricos y sagrados, que fueron hechos desde el siglo XII hasta el siglo XVII. Living Goddess (Kumari) es una de las más destacadas para visitar en la plaza Durbar de Katmandú.
La estupa de Swayambhunath se encuentra en una estación de montaña, desde donde se puede ver muy bien la vista del valle de Katmandú y la montaña blanca. Es un sitio budista y muy sagrado para el budismo. Swayambhunath también se conoce como un templo de monos porque muchos monos viven aquí. Coloridas banderas de oración budistas tibetanas, estupas y muchos otros monumentos antiguos son las cosas para explorar en este lugar.

The day tour included places all around Kathmandu, such as the Monkey temple, the Palace, the Bouddahanath, Durbar Square, the Kumari, Art galleries, and Pashupatinath. Rajesh was very knowledgeable about the history and stories of each place, and allowed time for a bit of wandering, inquiries, and photos. We drove to most sites, but there was a lot of walking from place to place as well, so comfortable shoes are a must! It was overall very fascinating and a wonderful way to spend the day exploring and learning.
