Very friendly staff and the rum was amazing! The tortoise was the star of the show! They should include a whole section just for him, and maybe sell scraps or veggies to give him food. If you book the 4 PM tour, I recommend getting there about an hour or so early to have a nice BBQ lunch beforehand. I think they should include that as a recommendation to the tour. The kitchen closes at 4 PM.
Go early to beat traffic. We went at 4:00 and the Uber ride was steep! Very cool experience and a nice time.
Great Tour! Great guide and delicious tasting! You must try the honey and the bourbon flavored rum !!
This was a trip highlight for us. We learned so much and our two teenage children enjoyed the science and agriculture aspects of cane to rum production as well. Meeting the tortoise was also a plus. The tasting was very generous as well. My husband and I did different ones so we try more things. We ended up getting some gifts for family here, a special bottle of the chocolate rum and a bottle of their honey for the kids.
Great experience today at Ko Hana Distillery! Informative tour, great tasting and a friendly tour guide! Definitely do this tour if you are in the area - you won’t regret it!

Great introduction to how rum is made, and an understanding for the crop and the distillation process. Left with a wealth of knowledge, and also some tasty rums. Highly recommend!
It’s not a very well known distillery so if you do a tour or a tasting, they are quite intimate and you can ask all the questions you’d like. We had the classic and cocktails tasting and both were very good!
The rum was good. They suggested pairings and were informative on the rum making process. Saw all the barrels and met Tony the tourtise.
Really enjoyed the distillery tour and rum sampling. It was very interesting to learn how everything is made straight from farm to bottle.
