El Museo del Apartheid abrió sus puertas en 2001 y es reconocido como el museo preeminente en el mundo que se ocupa de la Sudáfrica del siglo XX, en cuyo corazón se encuentra la historia del apartheid.
El Museo y Memorial Hector Pieterson, ubicado en Orlando West, Soweto, conmemora el papel de los estudiantes del país en la lucha contra el apartheid
El Monumento Voortrekker se encuentra al sur de Pretoria en Sudáfrica. Esta enorme estructura de granito se encuentra en un lugar destacado en la cima de una colina y se levantó para conmemorar a los Voortrekkers que abandonaron la Colonia del Cabo entre 1835 y 1854.
. La última casa en la que vivió el presidente Paul Kruger, entre 1883 y 1901, antes de salir de Sudáfrica para exiliarse en Europa, la Casa Museo Kruger se encuentra a pocas cuadras de la plaza de la Iglesia, donde su estatua de bronce ocupa un lugar central frente a el palacio de justicia
La Casa Museo Mandela es una de las mejores atracciones para visitar en Soweto. Pasaremos unos 45 minutos aprendiendo sobre estos lugares históricos.
Los edificios sindicales albergan la oficina del presidente de Sudáfrica y es un monumento nacional que se remonta a las primeras elecciones democráticas en 1994. Pasaremos unos 20 minutos en este lugar tomando fotografías y veremos la hermosa ciudad de Pretoria al fondo.

An excellent trip, rich in culture and history. It’s a great way to see these beautiful cities if you’re short on time. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, sharing details that only a local could provide. It was well worth it.
It was an intense day, full of history, beautiful scenes and a lot of learning. The tour is ideal for those who have little time in the city, but it is exhausting. It was not possible to complete the part of Johannesburg, the day began in Pretoria and ended in Soweto. Still, I put 5 stars for what was possible to see and for the guide.
Our guide Marvin was amazing! Really friendly, knowledgeable and went out of his way to make our trip the best. What a great day it was because of it!

A great tour that will gives a balanced vision of history with plenty of time to takes pictures and learn a lot. I was guided by Mike who is very knowledgeable and friendly. He dropped me right at the airport at the end of the day which made my last day in South Africa easy to manage.

This tour was hands down one of the best decisions I made in South Africa. It was just me and my guide, Marvin, which made the experience personal, intimate, and exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to truly understand the history and culture of South Africa, especially the real story of Apartheid, and this tour exceeded my expectations. Marvin was incredibly knowledgeable, patient with all my questions, and made me feel safe the entire time as a solo traveler. I loved being able to move at my own pace without a big group, and I even got to try a local beer with deep cultural roots that was delicious. If you want a meaningful, immersive experience rather than something rushed and touristy, ask for Marvin. Once you book there are no additional fees. We started at 8am and ended at 5pm but I had the option to end any time I wanted to. The tour was so great I wanted to keep going. I didn’t just take a tour—I gained perspective and made a friend. I’ll definitely be back from Brooklyn, NY.

Thoroughly enjoyable trip. Very pleased with the value and attention we received. It seems like a lot to do in one day, but it was very manageable. Great to get out of the hotel on the first day and not succumb to jet lag. Great introduction to the two cities.
