Absolutely the best tour!

This trip was beyond five stars! I am a first time Dallas visitor from Philadelphia and went solo while my daughter was on a business trip. The meeting spot was easy, the tour guide Preston was so full of knowledge and fun facts. He was absolutely amazing! I am even more intrigued by the assassination now. He took us around town to visit and point out certain sites with lots of facts and stories, Dealey Plaza and ended with a tour of the book depository.

History comes alive

You’ve read about it, you’ve watched the movies. But our guide, John, actually took us through the entire true crime story. He was very well-versed in the research and history surrounding the assassination of JFK. The tour was more than we expected. Taking this tour was literally walking/driving through the scene of the crime. Up close and personal. Look, you can go to a museum or read a book or watch a movie anytime, but to have someone drive you through the parade route and then retrace the steps of Lee Harvey Oswald. And even get to go inside and see his room in the boarding house where he lived and had stashed the revolver he used to shoot a Texas police officer before fleeing to the movie theater (which you also see). It really helps you have a deeper understanding of why there are various conspiracy theories. We even unexpectedly bumped into the current owner of the boarding house (the granddaughter of the original owner) who says that Lee used to try to help her with her homework when she was 11 years old. My husband loves history and documentaries about historic events so I booked this tour for us and our 22-year-old son, who is working in Texas this summer. We are a bunch of nerds so we loved it. At the end of the tour, you still won’t know if Oswald acted alone or why Jack Ruby shot Oswald before he could be brought to trial. Or will you?

Highly Recommend! Very Informative!

Was very informative and cleared up a lot of conspiracy theories! Preston was an excellent tour guide and so knowledgeable. Coming from Canada we are taught only limited information regarding United States history and it was very interesting to know and see all the different angles and timelines of leading up and including the entirety of the day. Highly recommend this tour.

It was a good experience. Tour guide had some interesting points as well do to his personal interest and history studying the subject. Most impactful was the rooming house because it was just as it was in 1963...absolutely incredible.

JFK

The bus was incredibly hot. The grassy knoll and rooming house could’ve been covered in 30 min each. Make sure you check the length the trip is 3 hours. Cold water very beneficial. Graphic photos a bit too much and presenter very informative.
