We were not able to do the tour. Poor communications with tour organizer, did not respond to our texts . You must Determine exactly where meeting point is before setting out & make sure your phone/text service works on Rhodes. We couldn't ascertain the meeting place on a "maps" app as we had trouble with our phone service so we asked several local merchants for directions. We had 3 opinions as to where the site was. We texted tour operator as to our location & make that the new meeting point, never responded. We never heard from the guide only the opertor. I intend to argue for a refund or atleast partial. Be aware the Jewish museum and synogogue is open from 10 AM to 3 PM. It is very close to the cruise ship pier and you do not really need a guide for this. Make sure you see the Memorial for the Jewish martyrs which is close to the synogogue which is near the cruise ship pier . You don't need a guide for this.
Guide was very knowledgeable, answered all of questions and made the journey through our past memorable. Highly recommended. While this was not part of the tour, I would also recommend that you take the time to walk through the Jewish cemetery south of Old Town.
Thank you for the great feedback for our Medieval & Jewish heritage walking tour and our licensed guide. We would love to welcome you back to one of our experiences.
Nicole was so connected to the community. She got them to open the synagogue for us. When my husband became tired she found A golf cart to take us to the gate. All the time she was upbeat. Could not have been bettef
Our tour guide, Marianna, was very knowledgeable and helpful. New Synagogue museum was moving and meaningful experience.
Thank you for the lovely words about Marianna. We utilise the best licensed guides that are part of our team to offer experiences of the highest quality only. See you soon!
I booked this tour because it specifically says it is a tour of the old Jewish quarter. The only Jewish things we saw were the synagogue and museum(which we arrived at just before they were closing) and the WW2 monument. The rest of the tour was of the Grand Master Palace and an extensive history of the knights. While interesting, this tour was booked solely because the title implied a tour of the ancient juderia. Maybe I misinterpreted the description, but nonetheless we were disappointed. We scheduled the tour for the mid afternoon and our guide seemed very rushed. At the end she hurried us to the synagogue to get us in before they closed and we certainly did not have ample time to explore all its artifacts and displays. All this being said, Ancient Rhodes is a great destination and I highly recommend visiting, just maybe not booking this tour.
We booked a 1 1/2-hr tour of Rhodes’ Jewish Quarter through Viator. Our guide Mary was on time, personable, and very knowledgeable. Beyond conveying the facts of Rhodes’ Jewish history, Mary was able to effectively place that within the broader context of Greek history. We had a great experience. We’d recommend her and the tour to anyone with an interest in Jewish history.
Mary our guide was excellent! She was able to position Jewish history within the broader context of Rhodes and Greek history. Only negative was that, with a 2 o’clock start, we got rushed at the synagogue and Jewish Museum.
Irene was an excellent guide, very knolwegeable about the history of Rhodes and particularly about the Jewish history of Rhodes. We found the synagogue, museum and Holocaust memorial to be very moving. Definitely recommend this tour.

The tour was very insightful and meaningful especially given the history of the jewish people who came from Spain during the 1492 explosion....made even more so as our first generation grandparents were part of it and seeing the family name on the tour gave us a first-hand connection to our family's greek past. The tour guide was exceptionally kind, knowledgeable and perfect for our outing.
Thank you for your lovely feedback and we're so glad you enjoyed our Jewish Heritage tour. We're really proud of our expert licensed guides - we have designed these experiences together - and we make sure our guests have an insightful and meaningful experience.
