What an unforgettable experience. We loved every moment of our experience. The people of the village were so welcoming. Nam our guide was amazing. He has a fabulous friendly personality. He was helpful every moment. The boat ride was so fun. We went upstream thru small rapids on a wooden boat. To see the Fiji villagers doing everyday life on the river was so incredible. The short hike to the waterfall was enhanced by our guides expert knowledge of plants. The experience of swimming in the beautiful waterfall was unforgettable. Riding in a bamboo raft was so unique and they are actually still used in the river. The village experience was amazing. We loved the music and of course the dance demonstration. The food was the best that we have had in Fiji. The drivers who drove us about 90 min to the village were safe and professional. Getting to see Fiji locals life from the view of the AC van was a great cultural experience. We would definitely recommend this unforgettable day.
Fantastic, friendly guide. Well organised. Waterfall is stunning. Lovo traditional lunch was delicious!
Excellent tour of the hinterlands with the experience of Fiji life and customs. The tour guide provided excellent commentary throughout the days activities.
Unfortunately I had to cancel my tour due to sudden illness (stomach upsetting ) on the way. The driver picked me up from my resort on time. We stopped at the supermarket, toilet break. After that I became nauseated, and had some vomiting. And also diarrhea started. By the time the driver stoped for toilet for me, (he managed parked the van in such an efficient way!), I became so sick, I felt like lay down somewhere! Then the driver organized a taxi to take me to the hospital. I couldn’t think of anything at that movement but I thought it’s better to get treatment for my symptoms. I’m so glad I did that. Soon after I arrived the medical clinic, I was able to see a doctor straight away and she gave me IV infusion. After I had rested there, I was able to go back to my resort. Unfortunately I couldn’t enjoy the tour I was looking forward to experiencing but I’m thankful to the tour driver “ Scott” ! Thank you, Scott.
This was an incredible experience, the guide was knowledgeable and funny! Very easy to talk to. Showed us Fijian culture and their beautiful land. Waterfall was mesmerizing and truly was an awe of the beauty! Drive was far from the Marriott so be prepared for a long day of driving. But totally worth it!
Absolutely fantastic day, wonderful guides. It's such a memorable experience. I would highly recommend this tour. We had an awesome time, and the people were just so friendly a big shout out to our guide(Sorry can't spell his name). You made our day with your antics and infectious laughter.❤️
Bula Valerie! Thank you for sharing your experience here with us. Your guide was "NEM" I believe. Glad you've learnt more in detail of our culture and the people. Vinaka Scott
