En el camino a Troodos, visitaremos la segunda presa más grande de Chipre - Asprokremos, y también, uno de los cuatro puentes de la era veneciana - Chelefos. Degustaremos los vinos, visitaremos la hermosa cascada Chantara y, en el camino de regreso, haremos una parada para bañarnos en la "piedra de Afrodita" donde, según la leyenda, nació y desembarcó la diosa del amor y la belleza.

La presa de Asprokremmos es la segunda presa más grande de Chipre. Está construido a una altitud de unos 100 m sobre el nivel del mar. Se considera un humedal importante para las aves endémicas y migratorias.
Definitivamente el puente más conocido de la isla. Su popularidad se debe al hecho de que es el puente de piedra más grande jamás construido en Chipre y cruza el río Diarizos. Encontrado en un área de rica vegetación verde, el área del bosque que lo envuelve es hermosa y tiene varios parajes naturales para explorar.
La cascada Hantara deriva su nombre de la palabra "anatra" que significa "ruido de agua". El agua de la cascada cae violentamente desde una altura de ocho metros rodando sobre el gavro, que es una de las rocas principales de la zona y formando en su base un pequeño estanque. Situado en medio del campo, está rodeado de árboles, plátanos, hiedra, pinos, robles dorados, zumaque, madroños, cistus, salvia y lavanda, lo que brinda a los huéspedes maravillosos aromas.
Olympus, o Chionistra, a 1.952 metros, es el punto más alto de Chipre. Un radar británico de largo alcance opera actualmente en el pico del Monte Olimpo. En invierno alta posibilidad de nieve. Estación de esquí que opera en enero y febrero.
El Monasterio Kykkos es uno de los monasterios más ricos y conocidos de Chipre. El Sagrado Monasterio de la Virgen de Kykkos fue fundado a fines del siglo XI por el emperador bizantino Alexios I Komnenos.
Es un destino popular para quienes gustan del vino casero, pasear por las calles antiguas, visitar las casas rurales tradicionales que se han convertido en museos y comprar artesanías originales (por ejemplo, joyas de plata, objetos de vidrio, encajes, dulces y famosos pretzels de Arkatena). La atracción principal del pueblo es el Monasterio de la Verdadera Cruz, que alberga un pedazo de la Verdadera Cruz junto con otras reliquias.

We saw a bunch of different sites which was neat. Tour guide gave us a decent amount of time to explore each site. I wish we had had more time to explore the beach at the end though — would’ve been nice to see the sunset til the end. The reason this tour gets 4 stars instead of 5 is bc the vehicle was not comfortable. It’s a jeep but the back is two long benches so you’re facing the other half of the group at all times. You basically bump around the back (though there are pipe things above so you can hold them) the whole time as well — it’s particularly rough on the off-road parts. There’s nowhere to lay your head if you want to doze between sites. Would be better if they had small buses or split us into actual jeeps or something.

All day trip in a 10 seat Land Cruiser. Interesting ,amusing driver/guide, Phil. Wonderful panoramic views. beautiful forest roads , twisty, rockstrewn tracks all handled with great skill .

Great day out and not too hard going if your fitness level is a bit low. We were taken to beautiful locations with rich history, good food and delicious wines! Was outside at the meeting point, one jeep came for another family from our hotel and told us we would be the next ones. Waited and waited but nothing came. As stated in the email, we called the jeep company as it was over 10 mins late. No answer from them. Called the tour operator who eventually got in contact with the jeep company. I was then told the jeep company messed up and we weren’t down on the list at all! We had waited outside for 45 mins to then be told no one was coming and we were offered a change of day or excursion to which I said no as we go home on Friday. To say I’m not happy would be an understatement. I have been told my refund will arrive in a few days but it doesn’t make up for the fact that we had booked this tour to explore with our children who are now extremely disappointed.

Great trip, bad communication by tour company. Delayed start as no name of the company collecting me was provided. After checking with several jeeps turning up at my hotel one driver helped by calling the third party tour company. After waiting 20 minutes past my collection time I was picked up and did have a very enjoyable day visiting lots of sites. One simply thing in providing the details of who I was waiting for would have helped get the day off to a much better start.

It was an alright trip overall. However, for my taste, we spent a bit too much time at places that seemed more like “partners” of the safari, such as the winery, the food stop, and the village. The dam was also a very mild start to the day, with not much to see. Also, be prepared for the jeep experience. While we saw several vehicles with regular forward-facing seats, ours had us sitting facing each other, which got a bit uncomfortable during the longer drives. The guide was friendly, but I didn’t feel like we experienced each stop to its fullest. After chatting with another couple, it turned out their tour included more interactive moments, like stopping at banana plantations, picking fruit, and learning fun facts. Compared to that, our tour felt like the bare minimum or just slightly above it.
