Itinerario

This tour was a great way to learn about the maki g of Sake and it's place in japanese culture. Bob was a great guide who had worked in a brewery. He could offer insights into what it was like to produce it and had interesting cultural observations as well.

We were 4 friends and our tour guide was so knowledgeable and helpful when we walked through the city and visited the tasting set of three types of Japanese sake (Gekkeikan Sake Brewery) company. After the tour we stopped at a Japanese Izakaya - pub type food and more sake tasting there!! He was great at helping us with the translation and ordering of food! We wouldn’t have been able to do this on our own as we did many things on our own trip but this was a necessary experience!!
Thank you very much for joining our tour and for your wonderful review. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed exploring the city, the sake tasting experience at the brewery, and your visit to a local izakaya. It is especially rewarding to know that our guide’s support with translation and ordering helped enhance your experience. Providing opportunities that may be difficult to achieve independently and allowing our guests to fully enjoy Japanese culture is exactly what we strive for. We are truly honored that this became a memorable and essential part of your trip. We sincerely hope to welcome you again in the future.

My husband and I had a great time on the sake tour with our guide Bob. He was very knowledgeable about sake and made it an excellent experience. He brought us to a little gem of a brewery. And we even brought home a bottle of sake from there. I wholeheartedly recommend this experience.

The brewery you visited is one of our hidden gems that we proudly introduce to our guests, so we’re very happy to hear you saw it as such. We’re also glad to hear that you found a special bottle to take home with you — we hope it continues to bring back fond memories of your trip.

My wife and I met up with Bob for our Sake walking tour. You do not want to drive after this one! The meet up place was very easy to get to from Kyoto Station. Once we got started on the walking tour it didn’t take long for each of us to get to know each other very well as we traversed between the different breweries and museums. My wife and I had a very delightful time. We discovered that Bob worked several seasons at a sake factory, learning the culture, trade and traditions of making Sake, which nicely accompanied his in depth knowledge of sake making down to the most minute detail of the process. We also learned quite a bit about how Kyoto became the center of the Sake industry. I must warn everyone, that understandably, the tour gets better after each stop! Hats off to Bob, we really appreciated the effort he put into our tour, if anyone is booking this tour in the future, you should ask for Bob.

It means a great deal to us that you were able to feel his passion for sake, as well as the deep knowledge he gained through hands-on experience. We’re also very happy that you found interest in Kyoto’s rich sake brewing culture. Your comment that "the tour gets better after each stop" perfectly captures the experience we strive to create, and we are grateful for your kind words. Should you visit Kyoto again, we would be thrilled to welcome you back. We’ll continue working hard to provide an even more enjoyable and memorable tour next time. Once again, thank you for your participation and for taking the time to share your generous feedback.
We had a great Time! We got a deep insight in the sake production and tasted really good sake. Our tour guide Bob was really great: his English was perfect, he was very friendly and helpful with answering our questions. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in the topic!

This was an excellent tour that I highly recommend! Our tour guide Bob was very cool, fun and easy to talk to. He also used to work in a sake brewery and was an expert on both the process of producing sake and the different varieties we could try. He took us to authentic locations that we would have never found on our own. I highly recommend this tour!

Looking forward to seeing you in the future!
Our tour guide, Makota ( I hope I spelled your name correctly), was excellent. He already had background knowledge of the brewery process which made the tour much more enjoyable and was able to answer our questions. After the tasting, he also recommended other brands of Kyoto Sake that we should consider. Since we liked all the ones he recommended, my husband and son ended up buying as much as we could take back to the US. We highly recommend this tour, with our guide. On another note, our guide also helped us get back to the train station and told us which trains to take in order to get back to our hotel, which was a godsend. It's that extra service that made the tour excellent.
Thank you very much for choosing our company among many other travel agencies. We sincerely appreciate your wonderful review. We will share this feedback with the guide who assisted you, and I'm sure they will be delighted. In addition to the sake-related tour you experienced, we also offer similar tours in Kobe and Nara, so if you have time during your stay in Japan, please consider joining us again. We look forward to serving you again in the future.
