Had a great trip with Gindo as our tour guide and Elun as our driver. The tour was varied and well led by Gindo, who was very knowledgeable and friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone coming to Jakarta!

During a recent work trip to Jakarta, I booked this private Heritage tour of the city. I was extremely impressed with the quality of the tour, the ease of booking, the pick-up and drop-off at my hotel. My driver for the day was Cekman who was alert and careful in navigating traffic, smooth, prompt in pick-ups after visiting sites, and kindly kept the car cool throughout the seven-hour tour. My tour guide was Fitri. She was very knowledgeable, clear, responsive to questions, and proud of her city and its history. I really appreciated your style of combining historical facts and social and religious analysis. I highly recommend this tour and Fitri. I very much enjoyed our day together.

Fitri our guide was really good. She was on time, took care of all our needs. She is knowledgeable and shared the cultures and history of Jakarta. The tour is a very good introduction to Jakarta.

Great way to see Jakarta highlights. Visited the mosque, the third largest in the world. Went to old town, Chinatown and had lunch at Café Batavia overlooking the historic old town Square. Our guide Ine was super knowledgeable and very helpful. I would highly recommend her.

Brilliant day seeing the major sights of Jakarta with our great guide Haidar and driver Cakman. A highlight was lunch and a private tour of the fascinating Tugu Hotel in the old Batavian port area. We also loved our visit to the puppet workshop. Haider was an exceptional guide with an incredible knowledge of the history and all areas of Jakarta. we absolutely recommend any tour with him!

I booked this private tour for our group of 4 through Viator but I communicated directly with the provider, Milo Ferdian, on WhatsApp and his responsiveness was outstanding. The itinerary was fine but also repeated a number of the types of stops we have already enjoyed during our numerous Asia shore excursions: a visit to the Chinatown area and an old temple, a tuk tuk ride (this one was very bumpy). The unique stops included a visit to a puppet showroom which included a nice descriptions of the products for sale. We had seen a number of Mosques earlier but this was the first time we went inside at Istiqlal. It was a magnificent building and very much worth seeing. Also at the end of the tour we visited the old boat port; while the tour photos looked romantic for this place, there is absolutely no concessions to making the location tourist friendly. We also stopped for some drinks and cake at Care Batavia and it was very lovely and inexpensive. I am sure of we were hungry, the meals would have been excellent there. Really the best thing about the tour was our fabulous guide - Gindo. He provided extensive details for everything we saw throughout the day and has a great personality. We also have a lovely driver, Mr. Ihsan. So while out Jakarta visit was not quite as fresh and standout as our earlier cruise stops, it was still very enjoyable on the strength of our guide and driver.

Had a great day Had a great driver and guide all to myself His English was excellent Got to experience the tourist side and the history side - very knowable guide And also experienced the general hussle and bussle life of Jakarta, Even a street food restaurant for locals where we all enjoyed a meal and chat Great day 5-6 hours was the advertised time but it was a bit longer at around 7 hours but that's Jakarta traffic Included a rickshaw ride though old section of Jakarta - not much chance of getting through those narrow streets in a car! Definatly worth the effort 👌 if you got a day free to experience Jakarta

We did the old city Jakarta tour 25 Nov 2025 and it was truly fabulous. Our guide ENOK made the day perfect. Enok was friendly, engaging and very knowledgeable. Our first stop, the Istiqlal Mosque was wonderful - such a delight to be able to walk around Indonesia's largest mosque and the neighbouring Cathedral was just as impressive. But I think the biggest surprise of the day was the diorama display depicting Indonesia's history ...this unique way of story telling is something we will never forget and all directly under the city's national monument with 360 degree views from the top more than 100 meters up. Cafe Batavia was our lunch stop and while this historical site mostly caters to European styled food we opted for traditional Indonesian and it was delicious! The port was another surprise... being able to walk around the port and stand up on the sea wall and discover how Jakarta copes with being lower than the surrounding waters was another incredible discovery of the day. We couldn't find fault with the itinerary, guide or driver KHALIM who was always ready and weaved skilfully through the traffic keeping us safe at all times. All our tour stops were well curated for the time allocated at each stop. We never felt rushed and Enok was always happy to answer our questions. Ditch the stress when you book this tour. Let your driver deal with the crazy traffic and the super knowledgeable guides show you the cool stuff in Jakarta. As a solo traveler, I felt super safe with my guide Haidar - he was like a buddy showing me around. We chatted about everything and anything, no topic was off-limits. It was a blast. Always awesome to learn more about the places you visit with a guide who's a total gentleman.
