Itinerario

We had a wonderful time on our catamaran trip to Isla Mujeres! The crew was friendly, the atmosphere was fun, and the views of the Caribbean were absolutely beautiful. It was a relaxing and memorable experience, and we enjoyed spending the day on the water. The only suggestions for improvement would be to limit the number of guests per boat to make the experience a little more spacious and comfortable. Also, it would be helpful if all fees, including docking fees and taxes, were included in the original price or clearly explained during booking. The additional fees came to almost $52 per person, so having that information upfront would make planning easier for guests. Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend this trip to anyone visiting Cancun. With a little more transparency on pricing and slightly smaller groups, it would be an even more perfect experience!
Excellent experience; the staff and crew are very good!! Very good vibes.
We really liked the walk. Missed some comfort on the boat. But it was worth all the work. The island is very beautiful.
Well, it wasn't the highlight of our trip to Cancun. If you wanted to ride up front on the catamaran, you had to traverse a very narrow walkway (6 inches) on the edge of the boat to get there. All while trying to keep your balance from the waves. They take you to a reef as they called it, but its actually a submerged sand bar to go snorkeling. Fyi- fish do not congregate on a sand bar and the snorkeling was subpar. Not to mention the other eight boats on the sand bar all doing the same thing. Next, after paying an additional 800 pesos each, they drop you off on the Isla Mujeres to eat lunch. To be frank, the food was terrible. After spending an hour on the island, it was time to get back on the boat and sail home. The crew was friendly and entertaining and the drinks were OK.
The catamaran trip was great; the sea is a beautiful color, and snorkeling in the sea was fun; there are areas with many fish and some statues at the bottom. The staff was very friendly and always offered us the drinks we wanted; the food was varied, and the IceBar was an interesting experience.
Unexpected fees once we got there that was $98 extra even though our booking said taxes and fees included. Poor snorkeling gear. There were at least 15 people crammed on a small boat that didn’t have enough seats for everyone. There wasn’t a clean bathroom, I slipped and fell on a slick ramp and there wasn’t any bandages or anything offered. The buffet wasn’t good at all, and if we didn’t spend the extra to rent the golf carts it would’ve been a wasted day.
Honest review. Booking was easy, travel there was fine. Doc fees at the marina ended up being $50, not the $20 posted. The boat was pretty small with about 30 people on it. Barely enough room for everyone to sit. The crew was great, drinks were flowing, and food was decent. Time on the island was enjoyable! Then we got back. This is where it all went south. Traffic was awful on the way back. It turns out the president of Mexico was in town. The main road was shut down, and the 4 of us in the van kept telling the driver. He told us his boss would not authorize him turning around to take us the other way. After more than 30 minutes sitting still, the driver told us we had to get out, he couldn't take us any further. We were 8 miles from the hotel. He told us to get a taxi. None were running because of the closure. We ended up having to walk a couple of miles through construction to get to the other side, then were able to get an Uber the rest of the way. I could not believe that they would just kick 2 women (and another couple) out of the promised transport at night and leave us to figure it out ourselves. I understand that the road closure was not their fault, but it was handled terribly.
The program announced was not what experienced. The objective was only to buy some additional activities like golf cars, like Tekila in store. No indication on what to do in the island. Purely about money. Then the security on boat could be better, we found the catamaran not in good shape, there is a big hole in the security net where we are supposed to stay during the travel…someone walkthrough and get injured… The team on board are good, asking us if we want to drink. It is a good point. We asked if there is a shower, water to wash after the jump in the sea..they said no :( it is not acceptable as we experienced many curse in catamaran before and we know it proposes always soft water to remove the sea salt. Even at main dock office, only restroom but without shower…not a good point. You came back to hotel with sea salt :( Then, for the return to hotel, it was an horrible journey. The driver left us inside the road because the main road was closed due to an official event. We asked to take the workaround, but his manager by phone told him to not leave the main road and to leave us in the street. We dropped off 10 km before the hotel…this is purely not professional. We tried to called them, whatapps them, no feedback… I really not recommend
What a great all-around trip included. Hotel transfer to and from the dock and we were located at dreams Riviera Cancun so about a 30-40 minute ride to the dock. But when you included all the other pickups and drop off it was quite a lengthy ride. With that said, the entertainment director Pancho on the star blue 2 catamarang was an excellent host.. kept us entertained on the ride over ensuring all our drinks were filled up, even doing a mini tequila competition. 30 minute stop at one of the popular reefs to snorkel, then off to Isla Mujeres where we had more drinks as well as a buffet lunch and access to the ice palace. Shortly after off to the main strip of Isla Mujeres where there are tons of shops as well as golf cart, scooter, rentals and some of the nicest beaches in Mexico where we were able to snorkel see some barracudas and a ton of fish? 🐟🐟 We paid about $90 per person (not including tip) USD but it was well worth it. We left our hotel at 8:50 a.m. and we're dropped off at around 8:30 p.m. would highly recommend this trip!!
The staff were amazing! They were very personable and friendly. I would do it again next year if I could sure they were the hosts.
