100% worth it

One of the most enjoyable excursions of our trip. We’re lucky enough to have the whole place just about to ourselves. So much to see and explore

Inishfallen island - a delightful trip

A short but delightful excursion across the beautiful lake in the National park to the small island where 12th C. ruins are the oldest to survive following a long and interesting history - knowledgable guide (and amusing too)! Great views of the mountains and Ross Castle from the water.

Beautiful tour with extremely knowledgeable guide

We had a lovely trip out to Innisfallen with Diarmaid this morning. He is an extremely knowledgeable guide who easily answered questions about all manner of history, art, flora and fauna, with remarkable patience. This is an easy trip for all ages in a boat of around six people total, and well worth your time.

Fantastic experience, highly recommend!

We had the most fantastic experience on our boat trip in Killarney with Mike. We were visiting with our three children and weren’t quite sure what to expect at first, but it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip! Mike was absolutely brilliant — he was great craic! We were on the boat with an American lady and Mike kept us entertained throughout the journey with his humour and stories. He was also incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much interesting information about the lake, the history, and the surroundings. It really brought the whole experience to life. We travelled out to Inishfallen Island, where we about a half an hour or more to explore and take in the beautiful surrounding. The island was fascinating and it was lovely to have time to wander around before heading back across the lake with Mike. A special mention also goes to Jack, Mike’s son, who sold us the trip and made it sound so enjoyable. I have to admit I was a little hesitant at first as I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I’m so glad we went ahead with it — it was absolutely worth it. A brilliant family experience, made even better by such friendly and passionate people. We would highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Killarney. Thank you Mike and Jack for making it such a memorable part of our trip!

Highly recommend

This tour exceeded our expectations in every way. The tour operator was friendly, funny and welcoming. The trip to the island was an absolute highlight of our vacation, we saw deer, ruins and spectacular views. We did a 6pm tour, and it was very peaceful and serene on the water. Highly recommend, went with family/ two older children.

Fabulous Morning

My 13 year old daughter and I spent a lovely morning visiting the beautiful Innisfallen island with Ross Island Boat tours, we walked the island and toured the Ancient monastery armed with plenty of interesting facts from our boatman Tony who has the combination of history, storytelling and humour down to a tee . We also brought our dog Bono along which was no problem Would highly recommend . Sean O Donoghue
