El castillo es la residencia oficial de SM el Rey y aquí tienen lugar partes esenciales de la representación de la monarquía, mientras que gran parte del castillo está abierto todo el año. Ubicado en Gamla Stan o The Old Town, el Palacio Real de Estocolmo tiene más de 1,400 habitaciones, 11 pisos y solo 1 balcón. El Palacio es también la residencia real oficial más grande de Europa, incluso más grande que el Palacio de Buckingham en Londres. Hay muchas atracciones aquí: el Tesoro con las insignias reales, el Museo de las Tres Coronas sobre la historia medieval del castillo y, no menos importante, los pisos de Representación con las pomposas salas de desfiles. Excellent tour of the Palace with a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. Avoided the crowds and learned so much with this private tour.
