Este histórico palacio real cuenta con una rica historia que se remonta al período medieval. Se convirtió en un gran palacio Tudor bajo el rey Enrique VIII, quien amplió y renovó ampliamente el palacio, convirtiéndolo en una de sus residencias principales y en un centro de la vida de la corte Tudor. A finales del siglo XVII, Guillermo III y María II contrataron a Sir Christopher Wren para actualizar partes del palacio en estilo barroco.

Cuando Guillermo III y María II (1689-1702) subieron al trono en 1689, encargaron a Sir Christopher Wren la construcción de un nuevo y elegante palacio barroco. Hampton Court is a beautiful place, the tour was wonderful: Andrew was very knowledgeable and nice, he drove us there and back using roads where we would see many interesting buildings and wonderful parcs (he drove through Hyde Park and through Richmond Parc) and he explained already a lot during the drives. He then showed us Hampton Court Palace and we had some time for coffee etc.

We had Nik and we grouped together Hampton court with Stonehenge for a spectacular day! Nik was fun and very accommodating. He knew so much about both locations and shared his knowledge freely. I highly recommend this tour and Nik!
