Esta experiencia la planeamos con dos años de investigaciones, si tomas esta experiencia conocerás a personas que preservan la cultura gastronómica de Oaxaca, los vendedores siempre nos ofrecen una experiencia única de vivir los sabores de manera inigualable, pues los mismos productores nos platicaran y nos compartirán de su sabiduría.

I did my food tour with Edgar, and it was absolutely amazing! Edgar knows a lot about Mexican cuisine and culture, as well as the food scene in Oaxaca. He is also very enthusiastic, which is truly contagious. Edgar’s English is excellent as well, so you can have great conversations and ask plenty of questions. It was such a great experience!
We enjoyed incredible food and experienced it as a local while being guided by a Oaxacan resident who taught us a great deal about Oaxacan food and culture. Definitely recommend for food and culture lovers!
Our guide was Brian. He's excellent: knowledgeable, enthusiastic, very pleasant and patient. He's fluent in English. The food was delicious, we made our own tacos. He introduced to the typical regional foods, explained them and then we tasted them. All guides should be like him and all tours as thorough and enjoyable as this one was. .
We had the tour with Edgar and I can recommend it to everyone. We had a lot of food and Edgar could tell a lot about Mexican food culture. His English is also super good, so you can have really good conversations too. We had this tour four days ago and with just the two of us, because of the low season, the tour was tailored even more personally to us. Thanks a lot Edgar for this super cool experience!
This was one of the most fascinating and engaging tours we have taken. Our guide, Brian, was excellent, knowledgeable about the history of the foods we sampled, and just a delightful person whom it appears every food vendor in the market knows. There was a huge variety of foods and drinks we tried, and each of us has several favorites. We learned of so many ingredients that can be found only or mainly in the area around Oaxaca, including the seeds from the pod of the tree that gave the city its name. The tour ended at Etnofood with a cocktail made of local ingredients, one of the best I have had. We canceled our dinner reservations!

Brian gave us an incredible tour of a local market that took us off the beaten path. The food was phenomenal, and the tour left us with interesting information specific to Oaxacan food culture. Highly recommend this experience! Come hungry :)
Edgar was an amazing tour guide. He was warm, friendly, and engaging. He did a great job introducing you to Oaxacan cuisine, its preparation methods, and its importance within regional culture. He did a great job showing me around a local market far removed from the touristy areas. I highly recommend this tour and having Edgar serve as your guide!
Some of the best food I've ever had and our tour guide Edgar was simply amazing. I'd definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Oaxaca city!!
