Excursión de un día al Lago Humantay desde Cusco

La Laguna Humantay es uno de los atractivos turísticos más visitados del Perú. Es uno de los paisajes naturales más hermosos del Cusco. Sus aguas turquesas y cristalinas adornadas por las blancas nieves del nevado Salkantay le otorgan una belleza única. Desde la época de los incas esta laguna fue adorada por su civilización y hoy en día sigue siendo adorada y respetada por los habitantes andinos locales de esta zona.

Itinerario
Lo recogeremos en nuestro transporte privado desde su hotel en Cusco a las 4:30 am. Luego lo llevaremos por el Valle Sagrado de los Incas hasta Mollepata. El viaje dura unas cuatro horas.
En Limatambo disfrutarás de un delicioso desayuno típico de la zona. Luego continuaremos el viaje en nuestro transporte privado hasta el inicio de la caminata, Soraypampa.
Soraypampa es el punto de partida de la caminata a la laguna Humantay. La caminata desde Soraypampa hasta la laguna toma aproximadamente una hora y media. Durante la caminata podrás observar la hermosa naturaleza que rodea estas montañas.
Al llegar a la laguna, quedarás deslumbrado por sus aguas cristalinas y naturales que descienden de los picos nevados de la montaña Humantay. Luego de la información que nuestro guía acreditado les dará y el recorrido. Se puede realizar una caminata de 15 minutos hasta el mirador. Aquí puedes obtener vistas espectaculares del lago y las impresionantes montañas que lo rodean.
Luego de visitar esta hermosa laguna regresaremos al punto de inicio de la caminata donde nuestro vehículo privado los estará esperando. La caminata dura aproximadamente una hora y media.
En nuestro transporte turístico lo llevaremos de regreso a la ciudad del Cusco, en el camino pararemos en un restaurante local para disfrutar de un delicioso almuerzo. Luego retornará a Cusco, llegará alrededor de las 17:30 p.m.

Lake Humantay with Cusco Travel was a wonderful experience. We decided to take a private tour. We highly recommend taking the private option. The private tour was great. We were able to go at our own pace. We really enjoyed that during the trip there were stops for breakfast and lunch. As for the hike, the scenery is beautiful. The hike took us about 1 hour and 45 minutes. It is fairly steep incline and the altitude is high. We were prepared for the drive to the mountain base and the hike. The view of the Laguna far exceeded expectations. Our guide Ricardo was phenomenal and made our trip wonderful. Highly recommended to do a tour with this agency and to request Ricardo. He is an experienced hiker and he was very attentive throughout. He kept us on pace and helped us take great photos. He had great recommendations. On the private tour the car was very gentle driving through the mount to the base. This was an unforgettable day.
Everything was perfectly organized. The driver was really good at navigating the narrow roads, going at just the right speed so that no one in the group suffered from motion sickness. Elisban, our guide, was attentive and helpful, providing us with interesting information and the right support for this wonderful excursion!

I think Rainbow Mountain’s hike is more interesting but Humantay Lake at the end wins by a large margin. Horses are available to rent if needed when going up (about 80 S), and definitely bring water and a few snacks for the climb and/or drive after. Long day with pick up at 4a in Cusco and return around 530p, but would recommend if there’s time.

Lake Humantay was very picturesque with stunning scenery. Challenging climb if you don’t acclimatize yourself beforehand, but worth every step.

Excellent option to go see the lagoon. The food and breakfast was excellent. Random and Oscar were the best to make the tour go excellent.
