What a great way to start the day! The pre-dawn departure meant a great sunrise over some of the finer chateaux of the Loire valley. Plus lots of other fine scenery as we floated right along the Loire river. Magnifique!

We can only recommend it. It was a second time for us but it still has the same effect: a magnificent experience. A departure near an iconic castle in the region and a flight at sunrise or sunset to feast your eyes. The team is very professional and friendly. A must-do, without hesitation 🙂

A great flight in the morning, in complete tranquility, with a very kind and experienced pilot, of course. Very nice support group, efficient, responsive, and kind. Despite getting up before dawn, quickly forgotten by this magical moment above the countryside, castles, abbeys, etc. A calm and pleasant moment, with a top-notch pilot and a very smooth landing. We took a balloon ride in March 2026 with Au Gre des Vents. The entire experience was super. We booked directly with the operator. Everything was very professional, safe, and fun. The entire team was really great. Kevin communicated with us clearly the day before and the day of our ride. Their place was easy to find, and then they drove around a bit to find the best place to launch. Kevin was our pilot and provided us with all the preparation information we needed before we began. We took off from Blois and went over the Loire River and the city and chateau. We even got a surprise visit while in the air from a local biplane pilot who was out for flight, which was fantastic. Kevin's team met us when we landed and took great care of us there too. This was a lovely experience all around and we really enjoyed it!

We had an absolutely exceptional experience on Sunday, April 26, 2026, with the company Au Gré des Vents. From start to finish, everything was perfect, thanks to a deeply humane, caring, and passionate team. A huge thank you to Christelle for her listening, understanding, and great kindness. She was incredibly accommodating and attentive to each of our needs, always with a smile and a lot of humanity. Her warm welcome immediately put us at ease. The flight with Marc at the controls was simply magical. A unique, magnificent, and unforgettable experience. Marc was able to share his experience and many adventures, especially abroad, with passion, which made this moment even more enriching and fascinating. We felt completely safe throughout the flight. A big thank you also to Dylane, our driver, for his friendliness and good humor. He did not hesitate to help us discover and appreciate their beautiful region through many very interesting explanations and anecdotes. This flight will remain etched in our memories, both for the incredible beauty of the moment and for the extraordinary people who make up this company. Their kindness, simplicity, and humanity make all the difference. My mom and my son were, however, afraid of heights and very scared of the void before getting into the hot air balloon. In the end, both of them managed to overcome their fears and left amazed and delighted by this extraordinary experience. And contrary to what one might think, there is no sensation of vertigo since there is no contact with the ground. We highly recommend Au Gré des Vents to anyone who wishes to experience a magical and unforgettable moment. Great ballooning experience thanks to the professionalism of the Au gré des Vents team and the flawless piloting of Kevin the boss who made us fly over the Château de Chenonceau, crossing the Cher to go to the Loire and see the Château de Chaumont. A good hour flying over a beautiful region, with aperitif on board organized at our request. Thanks also to Dylan who picked us up then dropped us off at our hotel. Service at the top in a relaxed atmosphere with very friendly professionals... we highly recommend!

Soft landing, really impressive 👏 The scenery was beautiful, a real timeless moment. I recommend 100% — an unforgettable experience!

For our 50th anniversary of our wedding, we offered ourselves a balloon flight, hoping to see Chambord, Chenonceau etc. With 3 friends we had specified our desire and that we would stay all week to multiply the chances morning or evening. What a disappointment!! At 17 in the early morning ds a hot air balloon to see Chaumont sur Loire and fly over Blois at 400 m.. In short, the unpleasant impression of doing "filling". To be hoisted by a gentleman, said "moreover they listen nothing" why?? and at the finish, by the same because he was not helped badly to fold the balloon... A positive, the dexterity of our pilot Antonio that we could enjoy on landing 👍. In short beautiful advertisements, beautiful photos, beautiful comments that made us wait and dream 9 months. In the end we wasted 370 euros with 2 days left to fly. Perhaps we should privatize a hot air balloon? In that case specify it!
