Paseos a caballo por el Vesubio

Carlo was very friendly and accommodating from start to finish. We requested an experienced ride for 1 which Carlo planned a 2 hour ride. He picked us up from the meeting point and took us to the horses which were visibly well and looked after. We set off and had a really fun ride with beautiful views, lovely trails and plenty of rest points for the horses. My uncle (non rider) was able to explore the farm and wander the area whilst waiting for us to get back. Once the ride was over we were treated to some food and wine which was delicious! Would definitely recommend Carlo and his horses to anyone!

We loved the horseback ride, the little snack with local products and wine. The discussions with the owner were great! We all loved it. The horses are extremely well treated, and he really takes the time to teach us if we lack experience in horseback riding. The horses are extremely patient and suitable for all types of people.

It was a very special day for me - I have not ridden for years and Carlo gave me the best experience - beautiful horse, stunning ride through the park - just taking in authentic Italian small farms along roads lined with crumbling Roman walls. And the vista - the views across Naples and the Bay are incredible. He is a gifted and generous host. One of the best days of my life - thanks Carlo ❤️

We stayed at Carlo's to celebrate a bachelorette party of my best friend, I could not make a better choice! Carlo is a person in love with his work and especially his horses, we spent three cheerful and carefree hours during which we took a beautiful walk on the promontory of Vesuvius and an aperitif with typical products (great!) I highly recommend this experience, even for those who have never been on horseback before, Carlo with his professionalism and expertise accompanied us throughout the experience. We will always bring a beautiful memory, thank you! A special greeting for Alvin!!

Carlo picked us up at the train station and brought us to his horse farm. He showed us around and assigned a couple horses to us and had us walk them around the arena so we could bond. Each horse had a different personality, so it was interesting as we bonded. Once we all felt comfortable enough, we mounted the horses and started riding down the country roads and onto the side of the mountain where we could see volcanic rock and other signs of the multiple eruptions that Vesuvius has experienced. It was absolutely incredible. The view was undescribable from the high points that we were at. Carlo was very knowledgeable and was able to answer the many questions we had about what we were looking at. Carlo is a professional. After riding that area for some time, we returned back to the farm. Once there we assisted with undressing the horses and had a healthy lunch with Carlo. He treated us as though we were family, just as we would expect from an old school Italian guy. We spent hours there, and of the experience the one thing that stands out the most is the way that he treated the animals. He treated them with respect and love, and they treated us the same way in return. Each animal had his own personality and knew what to do. As we were riding, just a gentle nudge on the reigns would get the reaction you needed, you didn’t have to be rough. I wasn’t expecting that at all. I recommend this experience to anyone who loves animals. If you really want to get in good with the horses, bring some apples or some carrots. They’re cheap at the grocery store.

My daughter and I had a great time exploring Vesuvius National Park. Easy to get there by train and pick up. Horses were specially chosen for our riding ability that made the trek easy and fun. Carlo’s commentary of the national park, the little crater was very interesting and he was very accomodating to my 9 yr olds many questions! We returned to a lovely pace of putting the horses to paddock and afternoon tea. What an idyllic lifestyle with the lovely horses. A wonderful way to explore Mount Vesuvius.

We had an amazing morning, the horses (and dogs) were very friendly. Carlos is very experienced and provided some basic horse riding training before we set off. The views were amazing and we would definitely do this again
