I need to share our experience with all of you. When we arrived at stop 13 to jump back on the bus to go to Arlington, we were informed that the bus was not able to get to us due to the road being shut down. Kaleb D. from Big Bus contacted dispatch and arranged for a bus to meet us at an alternate stop to take us all to Arlington. He personally walked us to the stop and made sure we all arrived there and safely boarded the bus. He really went above anything I would have expected. We was kind and very personable. Kudos to him. Thank you, Kaleb D. You made our day with your kindness.
⭐️ 1/5 — DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! We had a terrible experience with Big Bus Tours and I absolutely would NOT recommend them. When we got on the bus, the driver didn’t even check our tickets. The bus itself was disgusting, with nasty plastic seats, no air conditioning, and no live tour guide. But the worst part — and what really made me feel unsafe — happened when we stopped at a red light. The driver PUT THE BUS IN PARK, GOT OUT FROM BEHIND THE WHEEL, and stood in the aisle until the light turned green. Then he sat back down and continued driving. I have included a picture for proof because I honestly couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Afterward, I had to argue with someone through their online chat just to get a refund. I literally had to point out that having an unsafe driver should qualify us for a refund before they finally agreed to give me one. For the price they charge, this experience was completely unacceptable. Between the condition of the bus, no A/C, lack of a tour guide, and especially the driver’s behavior, I would recommend spending your money elsewhere. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!
Lena & Makquis & Ebenezer. Amazing service. Would recommend this tour to all my family and friends. They went above and beyond.
Terrible. More time waiting fir bus than sightseeing. 25 minute wait stops fir ni reason. Buses were not air conditioned so miserable for longer rides. Drivers were nice. Would definitely not recommend!
This was not a guided live tour instead it was a pre-recorded message. Most guides/drivers were friendly, but one was very rude to some women who did not speak English well. Also one of the employees near Washington monument at info tent was very rude in the way he responded to my question and was more focused on what he was doing on his cell phone before I bothered him. Maybe find employees who are friendly and like to interact with the public.
Hello, Craig! Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are genuinely sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations. Friendly and welcoming service is a top priority for us, so hearing about the interactions you described—both with the driver toward non-English speaking guests and with our team member at the Washington Monument stop—is very concerning. We take this feedback seriously and will be addressing this internally with our local operations team to ensure our staff remains professional, attentive, and helpful at all times. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, as it helps us improve. We hope you'll consider giving us another chance in the future to provide you with the high standard of service you deserve. Turkish Kale was an amazing driver and took the time to greet everyone and point out landmarks that you would not normally get to see. She was patient and very happy to see everyone!
Special thanks to Lena who gave excellent advice and guidance!!
It was really cool to see everything and be able to get on and off the bus. But we had only purchased the red bus loop and at some point it’s switched to the blue loop and no one told us and we ended up riding the bus for like three hours and we were hot and tired. We were not happy with that. The drivers were great very nice.
Hi Pam, We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the flexibility of being able to hop on and off the bus and that our drivers provided a friendly and helpful service. We are sorry to hear about the confusion with the route change and that this resulted in a longer journey than expected. We understand how inconvenient this must have been, especially after spending several hours on the bus in the heat. We appreciate your comments and will continue working to ensure our guests have a clear and enjoyable experience throughout their journey. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you aboard again. The on-off bus was perfect as it allowed us to see major sites in our five hour window of time. We got on the bus after a visit to the Holocaust Museum. I called for help in determining how to find the closest stop to get the bus and the operator was excellent in walking me through the app. She helped me see where we were and where the bus pickups were.
