Descripción
Este recorrido lo lleva en un recorrido turístico por la ciudad de Honiara. Centrándose principalmente en lugares emblemáticos, catedrales, centros comerciales y mercado central. Durante el recorrido, los viajeros pueden hacer preguntas, tomar fotografías, solicitar direcciones y solicitar paradas rápidas. Un guía turístico local brindará una breve descripción general de los sitios, responderá cualquier pregunta y traducirá del pidgin al inglés cuando sea necesario. Este es un recorrido de ida y vuelta donde se proporcionan recogidas y regresos.

Esta opción de tour comienza en el jardín conmemorativo de las Islas Salomón. El jardín conmemorativo está situado al este de Honiara, en el campo Henderson, el lugar de la batalla de Guadalcanal. El jardín conmemorativo es un lugar encantador para visitar y reflexionar sobre lo que sucedió durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Quítese la cubierta para la cabeza, si la hubiera, al entrar. La entrada es gratuita y el jardín es amplio, tiene capacidad para más de veinte personas.
El Parlamento Nacional o la casa redonda como la describen los nativos se encuentra en la colina Vaivaridge. Para esta parada, los viajeros pueden visitar la casa del parlamento (cuando no hay reunión) y tomar fotografías. El guía turístico también proporcionará una breve historia del gobierno actual y pasado.

the tour was eventually combined with another pair who had booked world war two sites which was fine. pot hole tastic on the roads and the information on the war was interesting. the museum was not up to much and tanks on show were more interesting due to the trees growing in them. the two guides were very nice - chatty friendly and gave a good insight into Solomon Island life. Half day tour - in retrospect could do this walking around if you take your time - have an umbrella and keep your things safe on you.

This was an outstanding tour. Our tour guide was friendly and very welcoming! This is a great way to get an overall orientation to Honiara Island. We also learned about the history of the island as well as the country of Solomon. Such a wealth of great and interesting information. The tour of the city was also amazing to get to see the various neighborhoods. I definitely recommend taking this tour when visiting Honiara!

It’s a rainy day. The national museum wasn’t open without notice. However, the tour was still enjoyable: 1. The art gallery, despite the humble scale, is a real treasure. The paintings and sculptures by local talents are unique and meaningful. 2. We went to additional spots, the WWII monuments by both sides (US and Japan). They are there to memorialise and harbour the country’s past war history. The memorials present precious information for documenting the collective experience in human history and harbouring the emotional memory - which is far but still not-so-distant. 3. The warm and pure characters of the local people are the key charm of the country and the highlights of the tour. Thanks for the flexibility and organised arrangements!
