Castel di Salve es una de las bodegas históricas de Puglia, fundada en 1885 en Depressa por Antonio Winspeare, duque de Salve, con el objetivo de producir vinos de mesa de calidad. Ahora la bodega está dirigida por la cuarta y quinta generación de la familia Winspeare. Fuertes y orgullosos de la tradición de los antepasados, aún hoy seguimos trabajando la misma tierra, para producir vinos con carácter, limpios y elegantes al mismo tiempo. La mayor parte de nuestro trabajo agrícola se lleva a cabo en la histórica finca familiar "Masseria Bosco Belvedere", ubicada en el centro geográfico del bajo Salento. La atención se centra en las uvas autóctonas de Salento como Verdeca, Negroamaro, Malvasia Nera di Lecce y Primitivo. Además, también cultivamos otro pequeño viñedo en Depressa y otros sitios en el bajo Salento, para un total de aproximadamente 31 hectáreas de viñedos.

Great experience and very original wines
Excellent experience, highly recommend for anyone in the Southern Puglia region on holiday. Our host Lujan was very knowledgeable and a wonderful host.
We enjoyed an informative tour and beautiful lunch with the proprietors of Castel di Salve Winery. This is a small, family owned winery with a 150 year old pedigree. They produce classic wines from mostly estate grown varieties found in southern Italy, and more specifically, the Puglia/Salento area. If you are a wine lover, like us, and want to expand your knowledge and appreciation of these lesser known grape varieties and the terroir they grown in, we highly recommend you visit.

After a friendly reception by one of the hostesses we were professionally guided through the authentic winery, estates and wine cellar. After the tour we were offered an extensive wine tasting of various types of wines. We really enjoyed and also got to learn a lot about the diversity of wines and their origin. Thank you!
The tour was interesting and the wines were quite good, particularly their Lama del Tenente. Easily the best wine we tasted in Salento. Commentary from the owner added a lot of interesting information and entertainment. A tour not to be missed!
We came to Puglia to learn and taste the wine, and Riccardo delivered with this experience. Wonderful tour of the winery, learning about the family generations that have developed the business, and finishing with a fabulous tasting.
