Itinerario

30 min

Después regresaremos a Hua Hin.

Historical history with great food at a great location

Pick-up was in a fully equipped minibus for max. 8 guests. Our guide "Am" was great. He gave a lot of information about the history of the railway line. For me the stop at the cemetery was not so interesting now but that is a matter of taste. The short boat trip or the entry and exit into the boat is difficult for the physically impaired to cope with. The food in the restaurant on river overlooking the railway lines was really good. Authentic and local. Something for everyone and rich. The subsequent train ride on the historic train was also an experience. Clear recommendation for this tour.

Long day with a lot to...

Long day with a lot to see, and long drive with a minivan, which I think is better than a bus. The guide didn’t talk that much, only where we do stop and how long. That is a big minus, because we didn’t get any information about the places. There would have been a loads of time to explain about the history and little details here and there. He answered when someone ask something, but I don’t think it is our job.

Very long drive, but...

Very long drive, but definitely worth the trip. Exciting to see the bridge over the river Kwai, the cruise on the river and not least the train ride on the Death Railway. And then we had a really good guide.

Very nice, but quite a long day

If you have mobility issues I do not recommend this trip. There’s a long step down into the long boat and after the ride there’s a huge step up onto the dock with a very narrow unsafe step to get out. If you need a cane or other aid it will next to impossible to get out of that boat. The trip itself was quite nice. The place we stopped for food before the train ride was delicious! The train ride thru the countryside was very enjoyable. The cemetery was sad and somber as we expected. We all know this history but it’s quite different when you’re standing right there. Museum was disappointing I just expected a lot more I guess but it was still nice to see. Bridge site was great- hard to imagine what went on here. Our guide could have been a lot more engaging, for example provide some historical facts of the places we visited

Exciting and touching

Exciting and moving experience with a group of 6 people. Long drive, but alternating with boat and train. Very good lunch. The guide spoke poorly English, would like to have had more information.

Far too much time in a minibus

Initially booked the 2 day trip to ensure we saw everything. Sadly, this was cancelled by the tour operator, but we were offered the 1 day instead. I really wish we hadn't bothered and just done a trip ourselves from Bangkok. Total amount of time sat in a minibus was 7 1/4 hours (3 hours there, 3.5 hours back and 45 minutes from one place to another). We had just 3 hours out of the minibus to eat, visit Chong Kai war cemetary (very moving) have a boat ride, a train ride, a look around Jeath war museum (not very good) a quick walk along the 'bridge' over the river kwai which looks brand new due to being repainted and finally a quick walk along the Death Railway and it's 'cave'. A very expensive trip that could have been so much better. Notes for the tour operator - with the new skywalk being open, the Kancanaburi War Cemetery and nearby museum and Hellfire pass all close by, this tour could be so much better! Such a shame that through no fault of ours what we were offered was not as good as expected. However, I cannot fault our guide and driver who were excellent.

Trip to the Bridge Over The Kwai

An emotional trip that shows you the real story of the Bridge over the River Kwai. The guide and the driver were excellent and though it was a long day from our hotel it was 100% worth the experience

Anytime again

I have almost nothing to complain about. Would have liked more time at the bridge. would have been nice if it hadn't been so crowded.
