We enjoyed our tour through the old city in Valparaíso, and felt our guide did a good job of setting pace while still showing us striking views, interesting historical buildings, and telling us about the town's history. When it came to the Viňa del Mar portion of the day, however, we felt very short-changed. We had lunch at a nice restaurant, and then made one stop near the beach and one more to see one of the Easter Island statues in town. Nothing else. We had expectations, based on the tour description, of seeing lots of gardens, parks, etc. We did not, which was disappointing. In general, we learned a few things, enjoyed our newly-met travel companions, but the tour, especially after lunch, felt rushed and without plan.
This was advertised as a 10 hour your but came in at barely 8. As a consequence we seemed to zip past a lot of interesting sites. There were 3 of us and one was sick and stayed in the car except for lunch ( which was good value). I thought I was having an English speaking guide but as the other 2 people were Spanish speakers, the majority of the dialogue was in Spanish
The Tour is excellent, it allows you to know the most representative of each place, the guide Rodrigo and the driver Hernán, magnificent very funny and very friendly. The place where they took us to eat delicious.
I treated with the david (dono) aind year brazil who gave me all the tencao via whats before and after the tours. Guides prepared and educated, take doubts talk about the history of attractives and tips about where to go to buy food etc... service of excellent quality. always attentive until after the tour to evaluate the quality and Processing of guides etc... I recommend the full tour I did the tour to farellones and valley snowy ski resort also with afull tour and was great. great tourism agency full tour santiago has a great service and guides. i was very well received and had all the attention needed. great
Me and my wife hired the services of Turischile to take a tour of the cities of Vina del Mar and Valparaiso for a full day (morning and afternoon) and it was quite pleasant. The exit from Santiago to Vina del Mar lasted about 1h30min. We made a first stop at a famous wine outlet, where you can taste various types of first-class wines and learn about the history of Elias Figueroa, who was considered the greatest Chilean football player of all time and the dream he had of producing the best grapes in Chile. There you can also purchase wines, olives of acidity close to 0.1, sweets and even winter clothes and accessories. We followed the road and reached the flower clock, whose construction was commissioned by Vina del Mar to be a tourist attraction during the World Cup of 62. We continued the tour of the city where we could see the beauty of its gardens and blooming avenues, we reached the edge where we took a walk, admiring beautiful views of the beach bathed by the Pacific Ocean. We know a colony of sea lions, historic buildings, the Mediterranean architecture adopted in some buildings on the edge and many other points in the history of this beautiful city. We stopped for lunch typical Chilean food and then we arrived at Valparaiso, which is only 1km away and we learned details of the art of the graphite, then we climbed on the ancient map funicular of Chile to the view of the port of the city. We visited the Museo Maritmo Nacional, where we met and took a photo in the capsule that retrieved the 33 Chilean workers who were trapped in a mine at dozens of meters deep and beautiful and curious pieces of the history of the Chilean fleet (as the Navy in Chile is called) ! We walked in the view of the harbour to the sound of typical Chilean music, as we knew the local craftsmanship, visiting a fair that is in this point of the city. We passed through some fire brigades that perform fully voluntary work and whose institutions are held by England, Germany and other countries. Finally, view several points of these cities and listen attentively to details of the beautiful history of these places, told by Claudio, a Brazilian guide married to a Chilean woman and who also have an incredible life history and who today work with tourism in Chile, making differentiated Tours, in Portuguese, at competitive prices and worth checking out. Search for Turischile and you will not regret it.

too long in the car. Did not have the chance to explore on foot.

This, so called "tour" was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!! Here's a list of reasons why: 1. Mini bus had NO AIRCONDITIONING 2. "Tour guide" kept prattling on about the same 3 or 4 things ALL DAY!!!! 3. The only store we were taken to belonged to her friends ....... AND WE WERE TAKEN THERE TWICE!!!! 4. We were "Permitted" to leave the mini bus a total of 3 times .......... but after less than ten (10) minutes were ordered back on the mini bus each time. 5. We drove straight past the Fenicular and NEVER SAW THE BRIGHTLY COLOURED ARCHITECTURE or STREET ART. As an artist, these were the 2 reasons I chose this tour!!!! 6. WHY is a view of the shipping container depot considered to be a tourist attraction? 7. The "Tour guide" NEVER STOPPED TALKING!!!!! and absolutely destroyed any relaxation or peacefulness of the day. Basically, this particular tour was a TOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!!!!!

Francisco was prompt on pickup at the hotel and after a few more pickups, we were off to Valparaiso! Francisco gave a running commentary on both Santiago, the road to Valparaiso and the towns themselves. There were opportunities to walk down the streets and visit the high points in the city. I wish we had more time to walk the streets and go up one of the funiculars. The trip to Vina Del Mar consisted of lunch at a nice restaurant (not included) and a visit to a monument and the floral clock. Would have preferred more time on the streets here too. Francisco made the trip and I enjoyed the very much. It is a good introductory to the city if you are not staying there.

Armed with my Viator voucher, excursion taken before my departure from France to not recommended because Viator is much more expensive than the prices charged on site, for example turistik offers the same excursion for 36000 pesos or 48.64 € then, that with Viator it cost me 76.48 €. a margin of 27.84 €. The course of the excursion is quite well, I explain, a vehicle picked me up at my hotel to go to a gathering point and from there, departure with a comfortable bus to Valparaiso, competent driver and guide but I regret that the guide without consultation requires you to put yourself on a boat not provided for in the program to go around the harbor for 45 minutes, time that I would have liked to put in free time to make some souvenir purchases, all to make a commission on the ride. Once on the boat after 15 minutes you are asked for 4000 pesos or 5.40 €, then 1000 pesos for the optional tip commander. The rest of the tour well, bilingual guide, flexible and professional driver. For the optional restaurant, choose the restaurant next to the one you are offered which is much more interesting question price menu at 9900 pesos and question dishes very well and the young waiter speaks French. The name of the restaurant El barquito. Then I do not regret the Vina del Mar excursion with its clock in green space and that works, Valparaiso with its sloping streets and its typical houses Favelas styles but according to the guide ingeniously built to counter the thermal shock and, especially its funicular centenaries whose guide makes you take with an obole peso. In the evening return to the assembly point and vehicle that take you back to the different hotels. I insist on this point because the next day I took an excursion to Viator for an excursion to the cajon del Maipu with Ecochile Travel and there despite hours of messages with the guide in the evening nothing did, no pick-up at my hotel because outside pick-up areas, hotel Ibis central station.
Hello, Greetings from Gray Line Chile. Thank you very much for taking time to share your experience with our TripAdvisor community. This comments help us to improve the little details. We are taking notes about your remark on people having time to spare or to buy souvenirs instead of being 45 minutes on the harbour. It is very good to know you enjoyed your day on Valparaiso, with it characteristic arquitecture and beautiful landscapes. And Viña del Mar with it iconic watch of flowers. We are going to tell El Barquito staff your good comments about the waiter and the food. If you plan to visit Chile again, do not hesitate to contact us to help you find a beautiful trip.
