Allí podrás disfrutar del paisaje del embalse de Potrerillos que alcanza unas 1500 hectáreas de superficie con 7 km de largo y casi 1,5 de ancho máximo.
Es una zona que divide la precordillera de la alta montaña y está enclavada en el imponente Cordón del Plata, ubicada entre los 1900 y 2500 metros sobre el nivel del mar. Tiempo libre.
Declarado Monumento Histórico Nacional el puente Picheuta unía desde el siglo XVIII la Capitanía General de Chile con el Virreynato del Río de la Plata. Aquí pueden observarse las ruinas de una fortificación, mudo testigo de importantes acontecimientos históricos ligados a la gesta sanmartiniana.
Área natural protegida declarada Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO. Su formación rocosa forma un puente natural sobre el Río Las Cuevas. Su valor geológico, paisajístico e histórico permite apreciar su importante rasgo de identidad cultural.
Mirador del cerro más alto de América con sus 6960 metros sobre el nivel del mar.
Es la localidad más elevada de Mendoza con 3557 msnm, es una zona fronteriza que limita con Chile y permite acceder al monumento Cristo Redentor en temporada de verano. Almuerzo opcional en restaurante de la zona. No incluido.

Lugares y horarios de recogida
La búsqueda se realiza por alojamientos dentro del microcentro de la Ciudad de Mendoza. El servicio de recogida tiene una grilla que arma el guía de la excursión al saber todos los alojamientos por los que debe pasar. Por lo que deberían estar listos en el horario de comienzo de la excursión, sabiendo que puede tener una demora de unos 30 a 40 minutos según el recorrido del servicio.

Brilliant day! Frederico was a great guide and Marcelo a good driver. We relaxed, saw loads and learnt lots too. Was a lovely way to finish our time in Mendoza.
I loved this experience! The guide Hugo is great, very friendly. The view is wonderful from beginning to end. We couldn’t get to the Inca Bridge because the section was closed due to the weather. But that did not diminish the experience!

I dislike excursions, and yet I would do this high mountain one a thousand times more. If you are lucky enough to go with Esteban, you will understand why. I went to places and saw animals that I was already lucky enough to know, but this time I observed them in a totally different way. It was truly exciting. Esteban doesn't know it, but he made me cry twice. His love for nature, for his land, and his way of creating moments throughout the journey made the experience unforgettable. At 41 years old, I learned more about history and geography than during my entire school and university period. His ability to transmit his knowledge in a didactic way is supreme. I wish all guides were a little bit like Esteban and taught us to care for and love the beautiful place we inhabit.

Just wanted to congratulate you on the high mountain excursion we had yesterday. The guide, Esteban, is the best I have had in a very long time... The driver and guide were both friendly, professional and did the best they could with the circumstances. I completely understand that the weather is beyond anyone’s control, and I don’t blame the company for that. What I do blame them for is the lack of any worthwhile contingency plan. Instead of adapting the itinerary, we spent around two and a half hours at a remote stop with very little to do and almost no facilities. That isn’t bad weather, it’s poor planning. The minibus was also crammed. I’m only 5ft 9½ and found it uncomfortable for such a long day. Anyone taller would have an even worse experience. Communication was also poor throughout. The only time the company replied quickly was when they were taking payment. Before and after that, responses were slow or unhelpful. The guide and driver deserve credit, but the company’s organisation, communication and contingency planning let the trip down. I wouldn’t book with them again.

Mountain conditions can change unexpectedly, and the available stops and facilities in these remote areas are very limited, which is unfortunately beyond our control. As for the vehicle, all of our fleet consists of new, zero-kilometre minibuses that comply with the required standards for this type of excursion.
