amazing experience and it exceeded my expectation. Jeremy was amazing, patiently guided us thru the process, encouraged and helped. I doubted myself, but he made it easy and excuting and I completed my project ...turning a railroad spike into a knife
Thank you so much! We love that you were able to forge a railroad spike into a knife as a total beginner at our Asheville area location. No need to doubt yourself when you have Jeremy on your side guiding you! Blacksmithing is such a cool experience!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you're even thinking about taking the Vikings Don't Cry Blacksmith course, stop thinking and just do it! This was one of the most enjoyable and rewarding hands-on experiences I've ever had. Jeremy is an outstanding owner and instructor. His passion for blacksmithing is obvious from the moment you meet him, and he has an incredible ability to teach beginners. He was patient, encouraging, and always willing to answer questions, making sure everyone felt confident and safe throughout the class. The atmosphere was welcoming, the instruction was clear, and there was plenty of hands-on time at the forge. I walked away with not only a great finished piece but also a genuine appreciation for the craft. Whether you're looking to learn a new skill, challenge yourself, or just have an unforgettable experience, I can't recommend Vikings Don't Cry enough. Jeremy has built something truly special. Five stars all the way!
Thank you so much for this incredible review! Comments like this are exactly why Jeremy loves teaching this blacksmithing class — seeing someone walk in nervous and walk out with a finished piece and real confidence at the forge is what it's all about. We work hard to make sure every beginner blacksmithing experience at Vikings Don't Cry feels welcoming, safe, and genuinely hands-on, so it means the world to hear that came through. Whether folks are visiting from Asheville, passing through Mars Hill, or planning a full day trip out to Madison County, we want this to be the kind of unforgettable, hands-on experience people talk about for years. Thanks again for taking the time to write this — and for being such a great addition to the forge that day. We'd love to have you back!
