Aunque lo más destacado de la gira seguirá 1. École Française d'Extrême-Orient: el edificio patrimonial y la biblioteca albergan más de 11,000 libros de Indología y una serie de manuscritos de hojas de palma en sánscrito, tamil y manipravalam. 2. Un centro de bordado ubicado en un impresionante edificio del siglo XVIII y administrado por un convento local y apoya a mujeres desfavorecidas. 3. Una calle con viejos cafés, casas construidas en arquitectura frech, animados mercados de Pondy. 4. Viejas calles, casas, calles sinuosas y Academia de Música Occidental 5. Parque Bharati: las atracciones más verdes de Pondicherry junto con importantes edificios gubernamentales de Pondicherry rodean este parque. 6. I signed up for a guided walking tour of Pondicherry offered at The Café (the old building on the stone beach). They asked for 700 rupees per person, but since there was only one other person, we were told that 800, because the minimum was 4. Theoretically it was supposed to last 2 hours but in 40 minutes I finish and the explanations were scarce and bad. A total scam.
A nice excursion that gave a lot of information. The guide was very nice and spoke good English. White town is worth seeing.
Pachaippan our tour guide was great. We could not make original date but he was very helpful & offered us a new slot. He turned up on time & was our perfect guide as we covered a lot of ground/places but we didn’t spend too long in any one location very informative & we learnt a lot about Puducherry. Would recommend.
Guide was clueless. It was terrible and ended in 40minutes . It was a complete waste of time and money. There was no set route or plan and guide seemed extremely disinterested. We had to literally dig information by asking questions to salvage our time
Pondicherry is a place where I would like to settle permanently in future. Have been there many times. Highly recommend going there.
The walking tour that we all looked forward to did not go well. The guide Neerajkumar was helpful and pleasant and even adjusted his time to accommodate us. But he did not know anything about Pondicherry and the sites. The history or significance of the place.
Manoj our guide was the best and was able to provide the historical significance that made the trip memorable.
