Itinerario

This was a good tour overall, but it felt expensive for what was included. Our guide, Ise, was friendly, knowledgeable, and spoke very good English. She explained the history of Heidelberg and the castle well, including details about the Prince Electors and the famous giant wine barrel. The pace was comfortable and we had time to enjoy the views from the castle terraces. However, at roughly $370 for a 2.5-hour walking tour for two people, it was difficult to feel that the experience justified the price, especially since castle interior tickets were not included and we paid an additional €22 per person. Overall it was a perfectly pleasant and informative tour with a knowledgeable guide, but the cost felt high compared to other walking tours we experienced during our trip.
Thank you for your feedback. We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed your tour with Ise and appreciated her knowledge, friendly guidance, and comfortable pace. We understand your concerns regarding pricing and the castle tickets; as a private tour, the cost reflects a personalized experience tailored to your interests. We appreciate your perspective and hope to welcome you on another tour in the future.

Ekki was a very knowledgable guide. He gave us a wonderful historical tour of the city. A few tangents here and there, but his stories really highlighted the importance of Heidelberg in world history. We had some little ones with us who got a little bored, so be prepared for it. Our favorite part was the castle. Wonderful views of the city and valley.
"We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed your tour with Ekki and that his knowledge and storytelling helped bring Heidelberg’s rich history to life. We appreciate you mentioning the experience with the little ones as well—this is helpful for future guests to know. And we couldn’t agree more about the castle; the views truly are unforgettable. We hope to welcome you back for another wonderful visit in the future."
Fantastic tour. Olga, our guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Very glad she gave us our tour. Seeing the castle, and learning about its construction and occupants was interesting. And walking around the old town, with a the little nuggets of history was fun. Gave us pointers on restaurants to try, which maybe to avoid, and even showed us which bus to get back on to get to our hotel.
"We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed your tour with Olga and appreciated her knowledge, friendliness, and thoughtful local tips. It’s great to know that learning about the castle and exploring the old town made for such a memorable experience. We hope to welcome you back on another tour soon!"
Ilse gave a great tour of the Old City including the castle and the bridge. Her knowledge of the history of Heidelberg and specific buildings helped educate us and provide a much deeper understanding of the history of the area.

This tour is advertised as a private tour, and it was the four of us and our guide, Anna, who was knowledgeable, spoke excellent English, and was fun! We walked through the Old Town a little, the lines for the castle tram were short (so we were able to spend a good amount of time up there), and then we walked again through Old Town into the two churches, and then ended at the bridge. ANNA WAS FANTASTIC!
We’re delighted to hear that you had such a great experience with Anna on your private tour. It’s wonderful that her knowledge, excellent English, and engaging approach made the walk through Old Town, the castle visit, and the churches so enjoyable. We hope to welcome you on another tour soon!
Excellent private tour of the castle and city of Heidelberg. Our guide, Anne, was fantastic! She had so much knowledge to share, was very pleasant to be with and spoke beautiful English. Highly recommend this tour!

This was a wonderful tour hosted by Ilse, a very kind and knowledgeable local guide. Ilse's stories brought the rich history of Heidelberg to life. Things we would have passed by on our own, not knowing what they were, became part of our appreciation of Heidelberg because Ilse pointed them out for us. We enjoyed the afternoon walking down interesting small side streets, learning the history of the Schloss and all of its eras, understanding what the pretzels carved into the church walls represented, and getting a very good restaurant recommendation. It was a great tour, thank you Ilse!
We're glad to hear that Ilse made your Heidelberg tour so engaging and insightful. It’s wonderful that her storytelling brought the city’s history to life and helped you discover details you might have missed on your own. We would love to welcome you on another tour in the future!
