Reno, the owner of Cyprus Winery Tours, very kindly tailored for our group a unique trip based around his Diarizos Valley Tour. Our requirements were for a two winery tastings plus lunch to follow. The day was very enjoyable, the highlight being the superb lunch at Stou kir Yianni restaurant in Omodos. The winery visits were very Informative and most of us came away with a purchased bottle or two. Many thanks to Reno for his patience and accommodation with the various pick-ups and drop offs throughout Paphos. A great tour, highly recommended! Looking forward to the next one 😀

Monday, 22 December 2025, my wife and I went on the Troodos Treasures Wine, Spirits, and Village Experience tour that offers a complete immersion into wine tasting! Our first stop was at Petra tou Romiou (Rock of the Romans - as Byzantines called themselves) or Aphrodite's Rock. According to legend, this rock is the site of the birth of the Goddess Aphrodite. Gaia (Earth) asked one of her sons, Cronus (Time), to mutilate his father, Uranus (Sky/Heaven). Cronus cut off Uranus' testicles and threw them into the sea. A white foam appeared from which a maiden arose, the waves first taking her to Kythera and then bringing her to Cyprus. The cult of Aphrodite was largely derived from that of the Goddess Astarte. We continued our tour, and stopped at three local wineries, where we learned about the winemaking process. We tasted local varieties that I never tried before, while the staff at each winery explained to us the particularities of each wine label! Additionally, we visited an olive farm and museum, where we experienced a guided tasting of various Oleastro's olive oils. The tour was well-organized and provided a perfect mix of culture, history, and of course, delicious drinks. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore the local flavor of Cyprus in a tasty way!

We booked the winery tour very last minute evening before. It was the best decision. Even though the two of us are not the biggest wine fans, we did really enjoy the tour. Especially the olive plantation and Omodos. Aurelian was a great guide with knowledge of wine, the region and Cyprian culture. Since it was just the two of us he also adapted the itinerary to our interests and added some extra stops. If you stay in the Paphos area we highly recommend to book a tour with him.
Hello Franziska and Melanie, Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the tour — even as non–wine drinkers — and that you loved the visit to the olive plantation and Omodos village. It was truly a pleasure having you on the tour, and I’m glad you appreciated the flexibility and extra stops we added to make the day more personal for you. Your kind recommendation means a lot to us — we hope to welcome you again one day to explore even more of Cyprus’s hidden gems! Warm regards, Aurelian Cyprus Winery Tours
