Te llevamos al Ferrocarril Austral Fueguino. 7 kilómetros es el recorrido total de la leyenda que no se dejó morir “El tren de los presos”. Originalmente la ruta era desde la prisión en el centro de la ciudad de Ushuaia. Solo los presos autorizados a salir del penal eran los premiados por su buen comportamiento para realizar trabajos forzados. Iban a buscar leña para calentar la cárcel de la incipiente ciudad de Ushuaia que crecía junto a ella. Originalmente se transportaba con grilletes en las patas y espalda con espalda en precarios vagones de carga. En la actualidad, la salida es desde la estación “Fin del Mundo”, por medio de una réplica del “Tren de los presos”. Los visitantes recorren la misma ruta que hace décadas hacían los presidiarios para abastecer de leña al pueblo. Actualmente los vagones son calefactables, modernos y acristalados para no perder la mejor vista del recorrido. El tren reanudó sus actividades en 1994 con fines puramente turísticos.
Uno de los puntos turísticos icónicos de Tierra del Fuego donde se encuentra el cartel que indica que llegamos al final de la ruta Panamericana.
Te invitamos a llegar al verdadero Fin del Mundo para sentir la emoción de estar en un lugar único y mágico. Todo viajero que llega a Ushuaia, no puede irse sin conocer el final de la ruta Panamericana que se inicia en Alaska y luego de más de 15 mil kilómetros finaliza dentro del Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego. Este es el lugar para tomar una foto que testifique que la gente realmente ha llegado al Fin del mundo. Más. Por la mañana alrededor de las 08:30 pasaremos a buscarlos por el hotel, desde donde nos dirigiremos al Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego, que se encuentra a 12 km del centro de la ciudad de Ushuaia. Antes de ingresar al Parque Nacional, haremos una parada en la estación del Tren del Fin del Mundo donde los pasajeros que lo deseen podrán optar por tomar el mítico tren (de unos 60 minutos de viaje) que finaliza dentro del Parque Nacional. Quienes no realicen el trayecto en el tren pueden disfrutar de un pequeño paseo por la selva fueguina (en invierno el pequeño paseo podría interrumpirse según las condiciones meteorológicas).

El día antes de la excursión nos pondremos en contacto con usted por wahtsapp para informarle la hora exacta de recogida. Esta excursión está disponible para pasajeros de cruceros, con recogida a las 7 : 30 AM y regreso a la 1 : 30 PM. (no recoger aeropuerto)

The tour was very worth it mainly because we were armored with a snowy morning that left the landscape much more exciting. This is a trip that is well worth it. Half time, picturesque and we still get to see the beauties of Tierra del Fuego Park. Super recommend the agency. We made 3 tours c them, being one of them this trenzinho. The guide Ariel was very attentive and gave several interesting explanations.

The staff of the company are friendly, attentive and very professional. From the airport pickup with Christian and the return to it with Marcelo, impeccable. The Parks and Train tour was excellent. The journey with Carlos and Ariel explaining every detail, first. Ariel took pains to answer all the questions and point out the points of interest. Recommended!!!

From the time Marietta met us on the berth as we came off the cruise ship we had a great trip. She was so knowledgable, passionate and informative about the region and its people, it made for a very nice day out. It did help that her English was very good. From the ship we were bused to the End of the World train station, where we had a few minutes to browse the souvenir shops before leaving Marietta and boarding for our train journey. After a fun short train journey into Tierra del Fuego park, which included a stop to enjoy the views, we were met by Marietta to explore the park. The bus journey around the park included several stops, where we were able to get out on foot and be educated in the history of the people and the land. Marietta was even kind enough to stop at the southernmost rugby club in the world for me to take a few photos and to recommend an excellent cafe back in Ushuaia. :-)
