El templo Bulguksa fue catalogado como el primer sitio del Patrimonio Mundial de la UNESCO en Corea en 1995. Durante la dinastía Shilla, hace casi 1.500 años, el budismo era la religión nacional y se construyó el templo Bulguksa para convertirlo en el "país budista" con las mejores técnicas de construcción.
Seokguram es una cueva de piedra artificial construida con un diseño meticuloso para servir al Buda en el siglo VIII y que fue designada como patrimonio mundial de la UNESCO en 1995. Dentro de la cueva, se consagra el hermoso Buda principal que muestra la esencia del arte budista de Silla.
Daereungwon, un antiguo parque de tumbas con 23 tumbas grandes y pequeñas apiñadas. Entre ellas, Cheonmachong es la más representativa, siendo la única tumba descubierta en Daeneungwon. Se creía que fue construido entre finales del siglo V y principios del VI, y se excavaron coronas de oro, sombreros, cinturones y zapatos de bronce dorado a medida que se usaban.
El puente Woljeong es originalmente un puente de madera construido en la dinastía Silla. Toda la restauración se completó en abril de 2018 mediante la realización de una investigación, testimonio y restauración de 10 años de lo que se perdió y desapareció durante la dinastía Joseon. Gracias a su hermosa reproducción, ahora se convirtió en un lugar popular para el rodaje de películas y dramas.
Hwangridan-gil es la carretera más joven de Gyeongju. Se refiere a las áreas de Hwangnam-dong. Los jóvenes comenzaron a reunirse hace unos años y en cada callejón se construyeron cafés con buen ambiente, tiendas de souvenirs y restaurantes únicos.
Cheomseongdae, el observatorio más antiguo de Asia. Se presume que fue construido durante el siglo VII y es uno de los hitos que simbolizan Gyeongju. Se puede suponer que Cheomseongdae se utilizaba para calcular el movimiento del cielo para determinar el período agrícola y predecir la buena y mala suerte del país.
La aldea de Gyochon es el lugar donde vive el hombre más rico de Gyeongju, que ha conservado su fortuna durante 12 generaciones y se ha dedicado a sus estudios para convertirse en ministro nacional durante 9 generaciones. El Museo Nacional de Gyeongju es uno de los museos más importantes de Corea, ubicado en Gyeongju, la antigua capital del Reino de Silla. El museo exhibe una colección notable de artefactos de la dinastía Silla, incluyendo coronas reales, joyas de oro, esculturas budistas, pagodas de piedra y objetos cotidianos de hace más de mil años. Uno de los puntos destacados es la Galería de las Coronas de Oro de Silla, donde los visitantes pueden ver la exquisita artesanía y elegancia de la antigua realeza Coreana. En el exterior, el museo también cuenta con un hermoso jardín de piedra al aire libre que muestra grandes reliquias de piedra como pagodas y estatuas de Buda, lo que permite a los visitantes disfrutar de la historia en un entorno tranquilo.

Peter took us to the temple where we had chance to see on-going religious services he has explained so clearly and nicely to us. Very informative ! We learned so much ! We had a good full day tour with Peter. He took us around the city in car and showed us all worth of seeing. He was good in explaining the history and Korean facts. It was a hot day and Peter ensured we were cooled down in between the sites so we could manage the full day. I can only recommend

I have taken several private tours over the years, and this is hands down the best one so far. Peter was very knowledgeable about the area and his English is really good. My mom has 3 ruptured discs in her back and uses a walker to help take the pressure off her spine. He adjusted our tour based on her limitations and she had a fantastic time. I also have a severe food allergy and he made sure we want to lunch at a restaurant which had things I could eat while catering to Mom’s love of traditional food. We had booked tours to two different with him and I am so happy we did. If you are going to book a tour this is the one to take. I would absolutely book a tour with him again.
