Nuestro conductor lo recogerá de su hotel o del aeropuerto en Agra y lo llevará en un automóvil privado a Gwalior, cubriendo una distancia de 120 km. A su llegada, nuestro guía experto lo recibirá para comenzar el recorrido turístico por el histórico Fuerte Gwalior. Construido en el siglo VIII por Raja Man Singh Tomar, el fuerte se encuentra en una colina empinada llamada Gopachal. En su interior, visitarás estructuras notables como Man Mandir y Karan Mandir, así como el Museo Arqueológico. El Man Mandir, construido por Raja Man Singh, es famoso por sus hermosas obras de arte de pared.
El Templo Sas Bahu en Gwalior, dedicado al Señor Vishnu, fue encargado por el rey Mahipala en 1092 d.C. El Señor Vishnu, también conocido como Sahastrabahu (“uno con muchas manos”), prestó al templo su nombre original, que con el tiempo evolucionó a “Sas Bahu” debido a una mala pronunciación o interpretación. Construido para buscar la prosperidad y el éxito de su reino, el templo del rey Mahipala es un ejemplo excepcional de arquitectura medieval. El complejo comprende dos templos —uno más grande y otro más pequeño— denominados simbólicamente templos de la «suegra» y la «nuera». Ambos cuentan con paredes intrincadamente talladas, figuras elegantes y pilares finamente elaborados, lo que refleja una notable habilidad artística y arquitectónica.
Gurdwara Data Bandi Chhorh Sahib en Gwalior conmemora el encarcelamiento de Gurú Hargobind Sahib en el Fuerte de Gwalior y su histórica liberación, durante la cual aseguró la libertad de 52 reyes encarcelados. El nombre "Bandi" significa "encarcelado" y "Chhor" significa "liberación".
Gujari Mahal fue construido por Raja Man Singh Tomar para su esposa, Mrignayani, una princesa Gujar. One of the main attractions of gwalior city. Present near the Gwalior Fort, so one can visit in a single go. An ancient temple , that is not active anymore but still gives divine vibes. The temple will remind you of the rich architectural heritage that India has. The place is calm & not many people visit it that often so it is free of fuss.

If you are in Uttar Pradesh or Rajasthan or you are planning a travel there, Gwalior, even it is in a state nearby, should be in your trip! Its fort is really amazing and a bit different from the Mughal buildings. The two Hindu temples and the Maharaja's palace worths the effort to get there too. The tour guide was really fantastic, there was nothing that he doesn't know, from architectural details to indian culture and dynasties. A special thanks to the driver for the great job, because Gwalior streets and the road to get there from Agra are very crowded. Good backoffice organization too. I gave 4 stars because getting to Gwalior from Agra by car could be exhausting. I suggest to get to Gwalior by a high-level train ticket if possible, otherwise splitting the visit to the city on two days with the night in Gwalior
Cool place to see. The guide was good, but they skipped 2/5 stops on the list. The driver didn’t know where he was going in Gwalior and had to stop for directions a dozen times. Overall just ok.
Hi Amy, I'm sorry to hear that your experience at the place you visited was just okay and that some parts of the tour were not up to your expectations. It's unfortunate that the guide skipped 2 out of 5 stops on the list. A tour that doesn't include all the promised stops can be disappointing, especially if those were places you were really looking forward to seeing. It's also not ideal that the driver didn't seem to know where he was going in Gwalior and had to stop for directions multiple times. This can be frustrating, and it can also cut into the time you have to explore the area. I hope that despite these shortcomings, you were still able to enjoy the parts of the tour that did go well and that you were able to make the most of your visit to the place you saw.
