Comenzamos el tour en la Plaza del Obradoiro donde nuestro guía estará allí con un paraguas naranja esperándote: pasearemos por las milenarias calles del casco antiguo, disfrutarás de un descanso de 30 minutos entre los dos tours y continuarás con una visita guiada al Museo Catedralicio y al interior de la Catedral con nuestros guías oficiales.

La primera parte de la actividad es el tour guiado por el casco histórico de Santiago de Compostela con guía oficial: recorreremos las plazas emblemáticas y terminaremos en el Mercado.
Tiempo libre en el mercado. Entre las dos partes del tour, hay un descanso de 45 minutos
La segunda parte del tour es la visita guiada del Museo Catedralicio y el interior de la Catedral de Santiago con guía oficial

The guide for the first half of the tour spoke English very well and was very engaging. We had a short break before she handed us off to the second guide. I wish we would have been told not to order food because how much time it would take. The second guide was ok, sometimes difficult to understand his English.

Great way to know Santiago de Compostela! Efren was very friendly, he explained the history of the buildings and statues . We went to the market , and passed monasteries and historic Churches . My favorite was Santa Maria Salome , which was the mother of Santiago!

This was a highly enjoyable and informative 2 part tour with 2 different tour guides focusing on different aspects of Santiago. The first tour provided an excellent overview of the historical and cultural significance of this UNESCO world heritage site. The second part of my tour with a different guide provided a detailed and fascinating exploration of the Santiago de Compostela Archcathedral Basilica and the significance of St. James the Great to this world renowned city. Both guides provided excellent descriptions on the concept of the Way of St. James which is a leading Catholic pilgrimage route since the 9th century. The guides spoke fluent English and were both highly knowledgeable about the historical, cultural and religious significance not only of Santiago but also Galicia. The entire tour lasted about 4 hours and is one that I would highly recommend to those seeking to learn about and fully appreciate this unique part of Spain.
