El Volcán Villarrica es el más activo de Chile! Tiene el cráter abierto, emana gases en permanencia y según su actividad es posible ver magma a dentro de su cráter. Es ideal para hacer montañismo, para los principiantes o para gente con experiencia. La vista desde la cumbre (a 2847msnm) es impresionante y permite observar varios lagos y volcanes. Cuando el volcán está nevado, el descenso se realiza con trineos y es posible bajar todo el volcán deslizando sentado. Es una experiencia única que no se realiza en ninguna otra montaña en el mundo! Esta actualmente autorizado subir hasta el cráter !

WOW! Diego was so knowledgeable about the area and led us up the mountain safely and supportively. Volcano was absolutely stunning up close and personal. My partner and I (25year olds) had not done any mountaineering before. We were suplied all the gear and felt so supported the whole time. 10/10 best experience which we will never stop talking about. A MUST DO!!
An incredible experience; we did excursions to the Villarica Volcano, Geometric Hot Springs, and rappelling, and we enjoyed it immensely. Moreover, all the guides treated us wonderfully and helped us at all times. The experience is highly recommended.

Difficult climb, but highly rewarding to reach the summit. The views from the top were spectacular! Glad to have done this.
Ermitaño are a very professional agency that takes care of everything regarding the ascent - park entrance, logistics, clothing, safety, and mountaineering tools. All I had to do was arrive on time and bring my snacks, water and lunch. The climb was brutal, it's all up hill. I personally had a tough time due to a blood circulation issue in my feet as a result of the boots I had (given to me by the agency - part of their safety requirements), so keep that in mind when booking the excursion to make sure the shoes are comfortable for intensive hiking or just bring your own BOOTS (mountain shoes not normal hiking shoes). Though I didn't finish the summit, my guide Andrea stayed with me the whole time while the rest of the group continued, and made me my own slow paced and careful volcano ascent while making sure I feel OK. When I couldn't continue anymore she safely led me down the mountain. At the end of the day the guides prepared a spread of snacks and beers for all of us to enjoy.
We had an amazing day. The site is beautiful. The supervision very pro , benevolent and a good contagious mood. Hyper considerate ( help to equip , very clear explanations in French , English or Spanish )! The equipment provided is of high quality and comfortable (shoes , backpack , spikes , clothes ...) We were a little afraid of the luge descent. The team reassured us and it was a very funny and nice moment. The day concludes with a very nice little aperitif. Thank you to the team for this wonderful experience!
I had an amazing experience with Ermitaño Expediciones! All of the guides were really knowledgeable and kind helping you make it up to the top of the volcano. Then I was able to sled down which was really fun and made the way down go faster.
A very nice experience. A day that remains memorable. The view from the top (and in the summit) is spectacular. The descent is easy in this volcanic ash, and you have the possibility to do a game of tobogganing
