¡Evite el autobús grande (coach) en la carretera sinuosa! ¡Únete a un grupo pequeño (máximo 7) en una minivan! Nuestro primer destino es la Fortaleza de Poenari, una vez sirvió como castillo para Vlad el Empalador, la figura histórica que inspiró la leyenda de Drácula. Lo admiraremos desde fuera y aprenderemos sobre su fascinante historia. A continuación, visitaremos la impresionante presa de Vidraru, una notable hazaña de la ingeniería de la década de 1960 que frena las aguas brillantes del lago Vidraru. Luego ascendemos al Parque Nacional de las Montañas Făgăraș, donde la belleza de la naturaleza cobra vida. A continuación se encuentra el Lago Balea, el lugar de vista en la carretera sinuosa, abierto solo de junio a octubre, situado a más de 2.000 metros de altitud. La fortaleza de Poenari es una ciudadela histórica ubicada en Rumania, encaramada en lo alto de un acantilado empinado en los montes Cárpatos. Construido en el siglo XIII y posteriormente mejorado por Vlad el Empalador, sirvió como bastión estratégico y fortaleza defensiva. Conocida por sus espectaculares vistas y su asociación con la leyenda de Drácula, la fortaleza es accesible a través de una desafiante subida de más de 1.400 escalones, que ofrece a los visitantes una visión de la historia medieval y el folclore. If you’re still wondering whether you should book this tour, just do it! I promise it will be worth every mile you travel and every penny you spend. Our driver and tour guide, Sebastian, was absolutely fantastic! Huge kudos to him for making this such a memorable experience. His attention to detail really stood out, from rotating the seats so everyone on the bus had a chance to sit in the front, to providing interesting and detailed explanations about every place we visited. Sebastian was knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely made the experience better. A great guide can make or break a tour, and Sebastian definitely made this one worth it. Highly recommended!

It’s a great day trip for a reasonable price lovely views and our driver/ guide Pedro was very good with the driving and getting us there and the knowledge of all the attractions on the way I had a great time and it was my second time doing it
The tour company planned out the logistics accordingly to ensure a well timed adventure. The driver/guide Pedro was prompt and on time. He did a great job telling us about România history and sights and just very friendly and courteous. He gave us some good tips as we got to each sight and ensured we were comfortable and got the most from the experience. Also, a very good driver. Thanks for the nice smooth and fun drive through “the best driving road in the world.” Not to mention we got to see wild bears! I would recommend this tour to anyone seeking some adventure with some incredibly great visual sights. If you love lucious mountains with colorful flowers, rivers, waterfalls, clear lakes and love driving winding roads you will love this! Also, impressive architecture and engineering of dams and a chance to see bears, sheep, donkeys and other wildlife. Overall a wonderful tour and tour company!
Really great day out with Bogan. He was very informative and pleasant to be with. His English was great which made it so enjoyable. And a great day was topped off by seeing 2 lots of bears on the way back. Overall a very enjoyable day and would highly recommend it.
I hardly know where to start. One thing at a time: I had booked the tour and was informed very promptly by the company that I was the only customer for the day, which is why the tour could not take place. However, we were quickly able to agree that I would pay a very reasonable surcharge and thus had a private tour at a very fair price. Regarding the tour itself: The guide, Sebastian, picked me up punctually directly at my apartment in his very comfortable car. The tour went as described and was full of highlights. We saw many bears, and the other destinations were also exciting to fantastic. And Sebastian entertained me with so much information and expertise that the long day, which also requires a lot of time in the car, really never became boring. Quite the opposite. And one more word about Sebastian: Beyond the tour, he gave me a contact for a trip to the Danube Delta and selflessly helped with the organization even a few days after our tour. That day was also fantastic, but that does not belong here. But it shows what a great guide he is. Thank you! In any case, I recommend this tour without reservation, even in comparison to the cheaper tours of other companies in large tour buses.
I would give this experience 6/5 stars if I could. Everything was above and beyond my expectations. Our guide Sebastian is a great driver with a lot of interesting insights about many subjects surrounding Romania and a great sense of humor. The locations selected for the trip were excellent and I felt like I was getting a great bang for my buck at all times
This is a must do trip when in Romania! The Transfagarasan highway is epic, George our tour guide was excellent. We saw 12 bears! Made plenty of bathroom stops . Lunch at Lake Balea was very nice . Great day !
My wife & I did this tour yesterday with George as our driver and guide. There were 5 of us on the tour so a more personal experience. The minivan we were in was very comfortable. George was an excellent driver and knowledgeable guide. We managed to see a total of 8 bears including a mama bear with 2 cubs. George always stopped when we saw them so we could take videos & pictures. A couple of bears were actually walking in the middle of the road as we approached & they came right up to us. We had plenty of stops along the way and take in the amazing views. The view from the top of the mountain at Balea lake to the Transfagarasan road below was a sight to behold. We had a really fantastic day and we were so glad we did this tour.
