El Grey Glacier Boat Tour es la única excursión en barco dentro de Torres del Paine que lo lleva a través de las impresionantes aguas del Lago Grey a bordo del GREY III, ofreciendo vistas en primera fila de una de las maravillas naturales más impresionantes de la Patagonia: el Glaciar Grey. Su viaje comienza con la recogida conveniente de su hotel en Puerto Natales. Después de llegar al parque nacional, disfrutará de un pintoresco paseo de 45 minutos a lo largo de las orillas del lago Grey, rodeado de paisajes impresionantes. Luego, es hora de abordar el barco y partir hacia el glaciar. A medida que cruces el lago, pasarás por icebergs que han parido desde el propio glaciar, cada uno de forma única y brillante con tonos azules. Nuestro guía lo recogerá en su alojamiento en Puerto Natales a la hora programada. Junto con el resto del grupo, viajarás en vehículo al Hotel Lago Grey, ubicado dentro del Parque Nacional Torres del Paine. El trayecto dura aproximadamente 2 horas y 15 minutos. A su llegada, el grupo se registrará para el tour en barco y disfrutará de unos 20 minutos de tiempo libre antes de abordar.
Acompañado por su guía, tomará un corto traslado antes de comenzar una caminata de 30 a 45 minutos a lo largo de Grey Beach para llegar al barco GREY III. En el camino, disfrutarás de vistas panorámicas del lago Grey y el paisaje circundante. **Los horarios de salida están sujetos a disponibilidad. Durante la temporada alta, de octubre a abril, es posible que pueda saltarse la caminata y tomar un barco operado por el hotel directamente al GREY III. Esta opción depende de las condiciones meteorológicas y solo se puede confirmar en el check-in. Durante la temporada baja, de mayo a septiembre, este servicio de barco no está disponible.
¡Ahora es el momento de zarpar! Pasarás aproximadamente tres horas navegando por el Lago Grey a bordo del GREY III, acompañado por un guía profesional que compartirá fascinantes conocimientos sobre el paisaje y todo lo que veas en el camino. La pared del glaciar es solo uno de los aspectos más destacados. A medida que te acerques, pasarás impresionantes icebergs a la deriva a través del lago, cada uno con su propia forma única y llamativos tonos azules. I booked three tours with Howlanders while in Patagonia and, although I was initially skeptical since I had never heard of them, I went ahead based on the reviews here and was pleasantly surprised. I booked directly with them, and they were very easy to communicate with, responding quickly to any questions — excellent communication overall. All tours were exactly as advertised, good value for money, and all three I did were in Torres del Paine. The local agency they partnered with, W Circuit Patagonia, was excellent. When booking, make sure to read the briefing and notes carefully, as they provide details on the itinerary, preparation, and what to bring. You can choose to pay the full amount upfront or split the payment, and they also have a solid cancellation policy that allows a full refund if done within the specified time frame.

One of the best experiences, and a must! The tour operators were not the best in communicating, I had to message them a few times asking them for information, given the cost of the trip, I'd expect more. The rating is still 5 because the actual experience was great and the driver on the day was brilliant very friendly and explained what to expect times and everything we needed to know. He was even giving information and sharing local knowledge, which was a welcomed perk. The glaciers are magnificent! I have not ever seen anything like this so I was blown away.

Beautiful tour, good informative hosts on the boat. Significant lack of instruction to get from drop off spot to boat. It was well over a mile and a half to get to the boat, and no indication that there was a cut off time.
