What an amazing tour. I would suggest it for everyone. The guide was fantastic and knowledgeable. She was exciting and open my eyes to all things cemetery. So much detail and so many stories and history. She was excited which made the tour exciting. I’d go again to learn even more.
Fantastic! Our guide, Darren, was absolutely wonderful. Very knowledgeable and so much fun to tour with. We would HIGHLY recommend booking with him.
NOT AS ADVERTISED. Booking shows "Private and Luxury" and all photos including the cover photo show a 6-person golf cart. Booking details show "up to 5 guests". I booked this group based on those details. I had 5 people. I booked because it showed private and 5 guests. Instead it was an 8 person golf cart, but they forced us to squeeze 9 people on. I am a small person, and so is my grown child, but the two of us plus my husband were squeezed in a two person seat. My husband and I were both very uncomfortable, squeezed against the arm rests. Lightning was forecasted to start within the next hour, and when I mentioned my concern, he said "we can go fast, or we can have fun". When I voiced my concern that we were on the wrong cart, because of the number of people & the option I selected, he told me "that's an old photo". I'm sure the guide is a great guy & lot's of fun when there are no concerns... but handling customer conflict could be improved. I shut up and smiled for the sake of my kids. If I wouldn't have been 3 to a row, I could have made peace with not being private, but this was ridiculous. Customer service is key - and these people think nothing of the fact that the listing on Trip Advisor shows a different service than you get. I called to discuss, and was asked "did you tell Viator you wanted a private tour" - I said I booked on TripAdvisor and it literally says "private up to 5 people" It was like she had no idea what I was talking about. It is not ok for 3 adults in that row. A small child between us would have been ok, but that was not discussed. Then later in the call she said it was because of the weather. Give me a break. Yes, my husband called because of weather. Never did he say "we will squeeze". Putting 9 people (with the driver) in an 8 passenger cart that was listed as a 5 person private tour is not ok. The gal said the manager would call me, waited a few hours now, so I'm posting. I told her I would prefer to discuss before I posted this. I would have done 3 or 4 dots if I wasn't squeezed 3 adults into a 2 person seat, or if they would have called me to apologize. They need to update this listing so you know what you are actually getting.
Our Guide was Great. The wedding spots were interesting. The Jewish section of the cemetery was very interesting.
The tour was ok. The grounds are huge and a lot of history to learn, but probably could be achieved by a virtual guide. The golf cart was fun and the tour guide was pleasant and had great energy, but the tour was just, ok
We had Pamela as our tour guide at the Bonaventure cemetery, she was wonderful and added to our experience
The tour quide was very friendly and told us so much and was very knowledgeable about the cemetery. Love that it was a small group so seemed more personal.
Teresa, we love to hear this feedback. We pride ourselves on our ability to provide such a personalized experience for our guests. Our guides really are the best of the best, and I'm thrilled you had the opportunity to experience Bonaventure through our tour. We look forward to your next visit!
Nancy was super knowledgeable! I enjoyed the tour very much.
Nancy was a very knowledgeable and kind guide. Golf cart tour is the way to tour the cemetery in this summer humidity! They were ready at the start early and had ice cold water and the ride was very comfy. I learned so much from Nancy! Would highly recommend!
It was such an informative tour! We would’ve never known much of the details or symbolism without our wonderful guide, Sarah.
Glenda, we're so happy to hear this. One of the wonderful things about our tours is that we give you enough information that you can go into any cemetery and know more than you came with. The symbols really do speak! Sarah is a passionate guide, and we are happy you had the opportunity to tour with her. We look forward to your next visit!
