Comience el día conociendo a su amigable guía en el centro de Queenstown. Comenzando con un espectacular recorrido panorámico desde Queenstown hasta Glenorchy a lo largo de la orilla del lago, con lugares panorámicos para tomar fotografías e historias entretenidas de su guía local sobre el lago Whakatipu y sus leyendas.
Mientras viajamos por este increíble camino, nos detendremos y disfrutaremos de las increíbles vistas desde Bennett's Bluff. Desde aquí, puede ver por primera vez Glenorchy y el Parque Nacional Mount Aspiring que se encuentra más allá.
El municipio de Glenorchy alberga aprox. 400 residentes permanentes y la puerta de entrada a Paradise Valley y al Parque Nacional Mt Aspiring. Una vez que lleguemos a esta pintoresca ciudad rural, tendrá la oportunidad de explorar la pintoresca orilla del lago, incluido el emblemático cobertizo rojo para botes.
Desde Glenorchy nos incorporamos a un camino de tierra, de sentido único, que se adentra en el Parque Nacional. La carretera Glenorchy-Paradise atraviesa ricas tierras de cultivo, bosques de hayas autóctonos y lechos de ríos. Después de Paradise, regresaremos a través de Glenorchy, donde haremos una breve parada antes de permitirle sentarse, relajarse y disfrutar de las vistas y luego regresar al centro de Queenstown.

This scenic tour out to Glenorchy and Paradise was absolutely phenomenal. As someone who relies entirely on guided tours rather than driving, having such seamless logistics made the experience entirely stress-free. Our guide, Shanay, was the absolute highlight of the trip. She went above and beyond in explaining the history, ecology, and facts about the natural landmarks we visited. It was a very lovely experience. Even though it was foggy at the start the weather cleared up later on revealing the mountains of Mt Aspiring National Park. The commentary given by Shanay was very informative and done in a fun interactive way! The snack was also very good!

Standing in Glenorchy felt like stepping back in time. For a moment, it genuinely felt as if I had wandered onto the set of The Lord of the Rings, with the iconic tower and breathtaking landscapes making it easy to imagine the filming happening right in front of me. Looking beyond Glenorchy, I could almost picture Tom Cruise racing through the mountains during the Mission: Impossible shoot. The place has an incredible cinematic atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re living inside the movies, not just visiting a filming location.
