Excellent trip. Driver was excellent- comfortable car, spotlessly clean. Giverny was a lovely experience. Gardens at this time of year in full bloom. Museum is worth a visit as well as house and gardens. Highly recommend.
We visited in September and the sun was shining and it was simply an inspiring experience. So well put together and we were able to stay in the car park with our motorhome 👍
Beautiful garden, the house inside also very worth seeing. Unfortunately very long lines, both for entry and for the house. Online tickets would have been better, unfortunately you can no longer book them for the same day. Only one ticket office had opened, therefore an hour queued for admission. It's a pity if you only find out on the spot. Very crowded in August.
Wonderful tour. Victoria was knowledgeable and fun as she lead us around beautiful Chartre Cathedral. She shared numerous strories and left us with a very good lunch recommendation.
The garden has a limited area. This made it crowded with long queues and difficult to walk around the garden due to the large number of visitors. The guide was not so knowledgeable and it was difficult to understand her English. She found it difficult to convey any information about the artist and the garden, but focused mostly on including everyone in the group. The experience did not meet our expectations.
We had booked our tickets on-line, which was good, saved more queueing. It does get very crowded, but you can take your time, and go round the gardens as many times as you want. I really loved going round the house, which is included in the visit, there are some fabulous works of Art, particularly loved the Japanese wood cut prints, Monet was an avid collector, the house was really interesting. I do think though at other times of year the garden would look much prettier, particularly if there had been flowers on the lily pads. we really did enjoy our visit.
I was very disappointed with the write up about the tour. It does not clarify that tickets are not included. The driver was disappointing - no offer of any music zero communication, knew nothing of where we were going. Giverney is beautiful but I would recommend another way to get to the location
Incredible experience, the gardens are beautiful. You need like 3 hours to fully tour the gardens and the house.
We did not book in advance but stood in line for tickets - which was fine on a sunny day, and it didn't take that long. There were LOTS of people, and I guess you just have to settle for that as part of the experience. It was really funny to see the water-lily pond and the little bride that you've seen in so many prints. If you're into flowers, you mustn't miss this place. The ticket also gives you access to the house, but we skipped that because we ran out of time. The toilet was a surprisingly pleasant experience.
Our driver was very professional, patient and kind. He was also a great driver. The car was very nice and extremely comfortable. Thank you! This is an easy and relaxing way to get out to Giverny. Once we were off the highway our driver made it a point to take different local roads to and from Giverny so we could see more of the surrounding towns and countryside. It was beautiful. PS - remember that this is just a private driver. You will need to get entry tickets separately. The drive from Paris ranges anywhere from 1hr 15 min to 1hr 45min. We booked our time slot at Giverny at 3:30pm. We left Paris at 1:30pm and arrived with 15 minutes of spare time.
