The driver/guide wasPersonable, informative, engaging. Two thumbs up Excellent value for your money
Excellent Tour. Our Driver, Dave was clear, knowledgable, and good fun, despite the Dad jokes! The tour had just the right amount of time at each stop. We had plenty of time at the Giant's Causeway. If you have National Trust or affiliate membership bring your pass, it gives you a free ride to and from the causeway on the shuttle bus if you don't want to walk. We were lucky and had a sunny warm day. Stones can be very slippy when wet.
Our tour guide Dave was fantastic; he had fun humor and great stories and songs for the ride! The timing was laid out well and we had plenty of time to do the activities, never feeling rushed. Our group was a bit sad though because we didn’t get to see or go on the rope bridge and we booked this specific tour for two things—the rope bridge and the giants causeway.
Mark was amazing! Very knowledgeable and helpful!
Meeting early in the morning after a concert was a bit of a slog but the fantastic attitude and sense of humour of our tour guide had us perked up and attentive for the entire bus journey. They took the time to explain key historical moments , interspersed with humour and light-hearted chitchat. The Antrim coastline is breathtakingly beautiful and the stops along the way were all phenomenal. We were given ample time at (most) stops to explore and take in the sights. Food at the designated dinner spot at the black hedges hotel was quite expensive, running £17 for a buffet plate, as such id recommend taking your own lunch or getting something from one of the spots along the trip that does things a bit cheaper. The giants causeway was more than worth the trip and exceeds it's reputation for beauty, I do wish that more time was possible there but that would be logistically difficult.
Dave the guide was fabulous. Knowledgeable and entertaining. He made the tour worth it. Sites where beautiful
This tour was the highlight of our trip! I cannot recommend it enough. The bus was clean, comfortable, safe and easy to find. Our tour guide Dave was attentive to attendees, incredibly entertaining and knowledgeable, and ensured that we had ample time at each location to explore. The castles included were definitely worth visiting and the highlight was of course the Giants Causeway which included various points of access for differing needs/preferences. I would advise packing your own lunch or being prepared for a pricey meal as our only option seemed to be the Dark Hedges hotel. Overall an amazing experience!
Our guide was great (although he lost his voice, poor fellow!) and the rope bridge was inaccessible (not the tour’s fault), but the extra time we had was spent at Dark Hedges: my least favorite stop. The “buffet” lunch was a waste of too much money. The food was horrible and expensive; go to the tea shop next door and get a sandwich instead. The “dark hedges” look NOTHING like the pictures online; it’s basically a country lane with unremarkable trees. Spend more time at the castles or Giant’s Causeway which were interesting and fun!
Excellent tour made even better by tour guide and driver Dave. Locations are stunning (even on a day like we had where the weather was horrific). Coach very comfortable. Food stop at Dark Hedges hotel wasn’t particularly good value for money so if doing again would probably take sandwiches. Overall would absolutely recommend.
We paid the top price £35 each for a luxury coach trip. The seat in front of us was broken with the effect for the full trip of the passenger in that seat leaning back with about a 12 inch gap between the seat and one of my friend’s face. Complained (nicely) to Stuart our guide to be told that he’d had trouble with the coach we were due to be on, so would adjust it with Dave the driver at the first stop. They didn’t, and neither did they apologise for the situation. Left us feeling very unheard and ignored and spoiled the day. Also did all he could to ensure that no one used the onboard toilet, I suppose so that cleaning wasn’t necessary?! Hardly the point of having this facility.
