Robert was a fantastic driver from sharing historical things and pointing out monuments and info to and from mount Vernon to helping in and out of van. The Mt Vernon was most educational and a siteline to more of who Washington was and the character he had to his wife and the strong woman she was, to his leadership choosing the right people at the right time to get him to where he wanted to go. Aristocrat, yet down to earth… literally 5 farms. A step father, a man not threatened by a strong woman, chosen for the job of President! it was a great thing to experience at least once.
Thanks for your review and business.
Extreme disappointed and angry. I was under the impression that the tour included a guide the entire time. We did not take the van because of driving in and when we meet the group it was give us the tickets we bought and sent us on are way. No information giving and no personal touch at all. We paid 90 per ticket for nothing. Should have just bought a ticket on site. May better price. Not even a mention of any history and no discount for not riding in the van. I would never recommend this tour to anyone.
We had extensive discussions with you and we answered all questions about this tour before you decided to meet at Mt Vernon,we also provided you with tickets for the guided mansion tour which you participated in.Part of the price you paid is for transportation to and from Mount Vernon which you declined .
With the exception of the house tour, touring Mt. Vernon was pretty much on our own. A lot of walking, but very interesting. The drive there was conducted by a man who gave commentary along the way. We learned a bit about the town of Arlington. His talk was quite interactive with the passengers which might be annoying to some. Overall, an interesting tour.
Thanks for your business and review.
Visiting Mount Vernon was one of the highlights of our trip to Washington, D.C. The estate is absolutely beautiful, well maintained, and rich in history, making it a must-see attraction for anyone visiting the area. Our bus driver was excellent—knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about sharing the history of George Washington and his home. The entire experience was well organized, informative, and enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a memorable and educational experience.
Thanks for your support.
The bus used was clean however it rattled extensively on the road and the air conditioner was minimal. The guide was nice but at times hard to understand. Would recommend seeing the movies and the mansion as priority because you don't have enough time at the end to watch the movie.
Thanks for your review
It was a below average experience with little amenities for $99, including the vehicle and misplaced driver comments. I would not recommend this Viator tour to most folks; the company did not even have my name for a reserved and paid for reservation.
Thanks for your review.
We made reservations on Thursday for a Friday tour of Mount Vernon at 2 and they never showed up.No call, no text !! Waited almost 1 hour.Emailed, called but no return calls or acknowledgement of problem. If you have a choice use another company.
We don’t operate a 2pm anymore. Your party has also been refunded due to the confusion. Thanks for your review
Best experience in our trip. Beautiful scenery and tranquil views. My kids loved it. You cannot miss it.
Thanks we appreciate your family.
Mount Vernon was amazing. I just wish we had more time to see evrrything there. We missed so much because our time ran out. Bobby was an excellent driver and narrator of our our drive.
Thanks for your Support.
It should be titled "Half-day tour of Washington DC and Alexandria, with a stop at Mount Vernon." Our guide, Robert, was great on Alexandria and DC, but did not accompany us through Mt. Vernon.
Your party had a guided tour of the mansion. Thanks for your review and business
