Great experience with one amazing and funny tour guide (Stuart), the dad jokes had us in stitches and thsnk you for the GOT references. We visired Carrickfergus Castle, The Dark Hedges (lunch stop with a discount voucher provided) although a picnic was a very good idea, there is also a fabulous coffee shop. Then on to Dunluce Castle, always worth a visit but nothing like it on a sunny day, picturesque with amazing views. We then finished at Giants Causeway and plenty of timd for a walk, refreshments, dinner etc before home to Belfast (arriving back for around 6pm)
Amazing tour and a even better Guide ( Stuart), however we had booked onro the GOT and Giants Causeway tour (the packages need to be updated) however the one we got was absouloutley fantastic (helped by Stuarts amazing knowlege and personality), filled with dad jokes and little tidbits about GOT - like where they filmed a few of the scenes and alot of Irish mythology thrown in. Genuinely Stuart is the best person ever and if we had the chance to do it again with him we'd do it in a heartbeat.
Enjoyable all day trip . Mark was an excellent ,safe driver and tour guide , he was very informative and good humoured (he deserves a tip!) . Even though we drove past it , it was a shame the tour did not include the Bushmills distillery for 25 /30mins . Could have easily shaved 5 mins off each of the other stops to include it. Giants Causeway & The Dark Hedges are definitely worth seeing
The driver and guide were excellent and the sights were just what we wanted. The guide was very informative and kept our interest throughout the trip
Our tour guide Stuart was amazing, so funny, so friendly and so so knowledgeable. He took the time to make the tour magical and memorable and even had us laughing with his easy going nature. Every place we went to was beautiful and there was plenty of time to explore. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone. Thank you so much for a great day!
Thoroughly enjoyable trip. Hugh and Catherine were an excellent guide and driver. They were so informative and the craic was great. All the stops were interesting and the scenery between was magnificent. The Giants Causeway did not disappoint.....it just has to be seen.
We had a brilliant tour with Mark our designated driver. He was super knowledgeable and threw in some brilliant humour along the way. Every stop was just the right amount of time to see the sights. Make sure you bring along payment for the castle entry fees. You get it reduced to £4.50 (at the time we went along). You have the opportunity to grab lunch at the Dark Hedges spot but be aware it is pricey at approx £45 for two soft drinks and two dinners. The food was really lovely and the staff here were very friendly. There is a cafe nearby that we noticed on the walk to the dark hedges; a great alternative if you just want a pastry/ sandwich. You can of course bring your own food but be aware you cannot consume your own food in the hotel. Given the time of year we had no rain but the wind was certainly strong. Just be prepared with rain coats and a woolly hat. We saw some sights of where scenes of Game Of Thrones were filmed but realistically this was so much more than GOT. Lots of local knowledge. Lots of local history. A great day out!
Stuart is a fantastic guide. Throughout the tour he is telling you interesting things, curiosities, stories... It is true that some of the things raised were modified the day itself but the main stops were made (Dark Hedges, Giants Causeway, Dunluce Castle) and some more unexpected stops. Game of Thrones scenarios are seen but in general from the bus, you can not take photos in many of them (those sites that appeared as a stop but could not be done, if they have been seen from the bus). The time for stops is perfect, give time to do everything you need. Value for money is perfect. We have enjoyed the experience very much and have known the whole of Northern Ireland very well. I highly recommend it.
This was a great way to see lots of the sites in Northern Ireland in one day. We got historical, natural and Game of Thrones and we’re back I. Belfast in time for dinner.
The tour was amazing! Giants Causeway was breathtaking and Dunluce Castle was an incredible experience as was the Dark Hedges. However don’t be fooled by what is “included/expected” as this tour DOES NOT stop at Carnlough where Arya falls in the water and nor do you go to Bushmills! That was disappointing as I picked this specifically for Bushmills. Tour operator advised they haven’t done this in 4 years! TripAdvisor needs to update.
