I haven’t realize that I need to take the ticket at the office. Happinessly, the office is near the museum. Perhap indicate in big letters this attention. The personnel in the office are very nice and helpfull.
Completely overcrowded, large numbers of people are let in, and you feel very rushed. Some rooms are off-limits, and you have 5 seconds!!! to look around or take photos. The air in the hallways is very poor, and there is no way to go outside. There is also a restaurant/café or something similar only at the end of the building, and I find the security check at the beginning completely excessive. Of course, this collection of high-quality images by famous painters is a dream for art lovers, but in my opinion, this exhibition is too large, too crowded, and therefore 'unpalatable.'
Even with online booking, it remains a pain to get in : 4 different controles to pass through, needs about 30 min. You get your audio guide and climb a good hundred steps. Visit can start! Noooo. Your audio guide is broken you need to go down again to change it. And if you quit and start your visit without... Surprise surprise when you return it at the end : the staff refuses to reimburse the cost of the broken guide... Anyway, much too many people to be able to enjoy the visit. The text by the painting is written small and if you lean on them, the alarm starts because you are getting too near of the painting.
We were happy with the self guided option. There is so much to see. We found that there was plenty of information available. Skip the line was definitely worth it!
I gave a star because you can't give less. There is NO skip-the-line ticket..It is simply a time ticket that you can take online on any other site at a much lower price. They print your ticket and then queue up according to the time you booked.
We booked for 4p. Stood in line for an hour without any structure or order in their entry system for Uffizi. Ticket voucher from the 3rd party showed 4:45p. Buyer beware!
This particular office that works for the website was not helpful and said said that they tried to get a hold of me when I had email showing that they had made contact so we waited in line for an hour with the hoops that their mistake didn’t cost us $200. Would never use this company again and would cancel anything I had associated with them..
We paid for “skip the line” and “escorted” entrance and “small group,” but we got none of the above. Had to wait like everybody else in a long line after walking to tour office to pick up tickets. Would not recommend premium ticket. Viator bills itself as a premium tour, but you get lumped in with all the run-of-the-mill services.
Got tickets but there was not an escort - we got through the line ok but other than picking up a ticket there was no other service rendered - seems too much to pay
Booked the “Skip the Line Ticket with Escorted Entry.” Picked up tickets at an office nearby to the museum. The woman handed us physical tickets and told us where to go stand in line. Not sure how this was really any different than buying a priority pass on the website from the museum directly, except being more expensive, of course.
