Malek was a great guide. I recommend him.
We had a great time on our tour of Sousse with Mohamed! We were a big group (ten people), including a child and an elderly relative, and everything ran super smoothly. The weather wasn't great but this wasn't an issue as the places we went were always partially covered. There was a good mix of sites, but our favourite was the Dar Am Taieb museum - never seen anything like it!! 100% recommend to all
Highly recommend this tour! I had an excellent guide - Mohamed Ben Naceur. He’s personable, attentive, and energetic. He gave me insights into the city and the country. It was a great way to start a solo trip in Tunisia. He even helped take a lot of photos.
Mohamed Ben Naceur was the best! He picked us up to the minute from the hotel and showed us corners that hardly any tourist gets to see otherwise. Favorite cafe and sunset spot. It was great and very individual!
Had a really good morning out looking at historical places and also going to the markets the guide was outstanding
Malek was a very good host who communicated before the trip to advise pick up times. We went to a local art museum dar am taieb which was brilliant. Very eclectic collection of which most was from recycled materials. Definitely worth a visit. Malek then took us to the medina which had a wonderful array of shops and stalls. A bustling place but worth a walk through especially the fish market. We then headed towards the seafront for a walk and picked up our taxi back all organised with our wonderful guide Malek.
5 stars without hesitation! Our guide was absolutely perfect, knowledgeable, helped us, the tours were nice and really interesting!
5/5 Mohammed is nice nice he does his job perfectly he advised himself and he is very accommodating and available perfect guide ❤️
Mohamed was an excellent guide. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and we had a good afternoon exploring Monastir! Would definitely recommend and book again.
I signed up for this tour based on how it was marketed and described; however, the actual experience fell significantly short of those expectations. In reality, this was simply a car hire with a driver, with no additional guidance, historical context, or value-added services. The tour was promoted as a “fun tour” with elements of history and local recommendations. None of these were provided. While the driver was polite and courteous, the service delivered was not aligned with what was advertised, especially considering the amount paid (USD 141.5). The following points highlight the key issues: 1. Lack of basic assistance from a local driver At one point, I asked the Tunisian native driver to help inquire about the price of street snacks, as I am a foreign visitor and have previously experienced being overcharged in Tunisia. The driver merely asked the price and made no effort to help ensure it was reasonable. The attitude I perceived was that, as a tourist, I was expected to pay higher prices. Alternatively, it felt as though the driver was disengaged—possibly fatigued with the job or dissatisfied with his employer—which directly affected the level of service provided. What was particularly ironic is that a few hours later, the driver stopped briefly to buy vegetables for himself and actively negotiated the price with the vendor. This raised the question of what added value a local driver provides if they are unwilling to offer even basic assistance to a paying guest. 2. Uncomfortable and inappropriate experience at Sidi Abid el Ghariani Mausoleum At the Sidi Abid el Ghariani Mausoleum, the driver introduced me to a mosque caretaker and then returned to the car. The caretaker began guiding me around and providing historical information, eventually taking me to an area where I was expected to donate money at two graves. I was never informed in advance that donations were expected, nor was my consent sought for a guided visit. As I primarily use cards while traveling and had limited cash, I could only offer the coins I had. One of the caretaker’s associates became visibly upset about the small amount and behaved in a hostile manner. This situation was extremely uncomfortable and could have been easily avoided if the driver had warned me about expected donations, confirmed whether I wanted a guide, or asked for my consent beforehand. Instead, I was placed in an embarrassing and distressing situation. 3. No food or lunch recommendations No lunch or dining recommendations were provided at any point. I was simply told that if I wanted to stop for coffee or a restroom break, I should inform the driver. This falls far short of what one would expect from a tour marketed as a guided or “VIP” experience. Overall, it is disappointing that this was marketed as a “Fun VIP tour” when it provided no historical insight, no guidance, no local recommendations, and no meaningful support. I felt embarrassed during the mausoleum visit due to the donation issue and received no added value beyond transportation. While the driver was polite and drove safely, this experience would have been cheaper and likely better had I simply hired a local taxi. Paying USD 141.50 for this service was not justified given what was delivered. UPDATE: The company reached out to me to offer me a 30% goodwill refund. I appreciate them resolving this matter.
