The place is beautiful: however, the infrastructure is not prepared to handle so many people. the lines for the few activities can take up 2 hours. The tour driver convinced us to go only to Farellones, but it would have been better to go to Valle Nevado for a few hours. Their arguments biased us to go to just one place. The package one buys does not program exactly the tour, and it leaves it to the driver´s discretion.
1) They forgot about me and almost didn't pick me up. I waited until 8:45pm the night before and they had not messaged me with transportation details so I sent them a message. When they didn't respond at 9pm I messaged Viator support to notify them of the situation so I would have more evidence for when they didn't pick me up the following morning. Viator added those details in my booking just in case they didn't and sent an email to Discover Santiago asking why they haven't shared details with me. Wouldn't you know about 10 minutes after Viator yelled at them I get a message on Whatsapp saying "we didn't see your phone number but now it works!" Lies. You forgot about me. But details were shared after. 2) The "tour" is not conducted by Discover Santiago. After the above was fixed I got a message from the driver who was using a completely different WhatsApp business account. The driver was nice but didn't speak a word of English. We used a different tour guide at the equipment rental as a translator. 3) This is advertised as a scenic tour with multiple stops (as you can see in my screenshot of the itinerary of what to expect). That is not true. It is simply transportation for either Farallones family park or Colorado ski resort. We didn't stop at the other spots listed and entrance to Farallones was not included as advertised. I was taken to Colorado resort and basically wondered around the parking lot for 3.5 hours. As I bought a sightseeing tour, I had no interest in skiing. The driver did make an effort for me by picking me up after those 3.5 hours to take me to a town 10 minutes down the road. Nice gesture but there was nothing there. A much smaller ski resort and only hotels I didn't have access to as a non guest. This stop was a lot more boring than the 3.5 hours at Colorado. 4) Now that I've been I understand why no company offers a sightseeing tour. Because it's basically impossible to do. The only things to do are skiing or the other activities at Farallones family park. Doesn't matter what company. Those are literally the only things to do. Because this was falsely advertised I gave it 1 star. It's merely transportation and there are significantly cheaper transportation options.
Amazing experience, our guide Jimmy was immensely experienced and knowledgeable. He even let us borrow for free a sled and it was such a magical moment to slide over the snowy mountains of Chile in "Parque de los pobres" Be aware that snow clothing is not included, but first thing in the morning they'll take you to a place where you can lend some for around $30US (full set). Will definitely do it again! Thanks guys!
Beautiful place! The guides were wonderful, I never felt like they were rushing us and yet the itinerary was accomplished. Farellones Park has many activities to do: tubing, canopying, sledding, among others. It should be noted that the entrance to the park is not included in the tour and costs $30,000 Chilean pesos. Once inside the park all activities are included except skiing. I was very satisfied with the tour and with very nice photos.
Our guide and driver Jimmy was an excellent host at all times, he was attentive and answered all our questions and when purchasing the activity they also took great care of us. We 100% recommend this tour.
Our first experience with the snow was fantastic and we owe much of it to the wonderful welcome of @discoversantiago employees. They are mto attentive. Best guides we find on our tours. I recommend 👏🏼👏🏼
Our experience in Chile was surprising. We were very well received at the airport by Discover Santiago in the Cover of Brayan and Carla. Their care with us was excellent. We made the transfer from the airport to the hotel. The tour to the Nevado Valley and Farelones, was amazing experience in the snow. We also went to Safári which was too top. In the vineyard Concha y toro and we saw the sunset in the Bahai temple. Besides on the way of the tours we receive a lot of tourist information and stories about Chile. It was a Processing offered by this formidable Enterprise which we will always indicate. And Chile will definitely come back, because our experience was wonderful and we missed it. Thank you dear ones and may your Enterprise continue always seeking the common good. God bless them!!
We had a great time. The boys are super attentive, they know the areas well, which guarantees to make the most of your vacation, without waste, or wasted time. We took several walks with them and we all enjoyed it a lot. The cost-to-value ratio paid to all satisfaction. Very professional.
Talaga galera! Super agency recommends, as you find super friendly and polite guides, speak English and Portuguese, plus logical Spanish, for those who do not have this concern of not knowing a foreign language. They search you and leave you at your hotel/hostel at the agreed time, indicate quality restaurants and all prices, take photos, questions and besides tell the history of the place. Super comfortable and new transportation vehicle. I highly recommend, you will not regret. When I get back I'll close again with them.
Since arriving in Santiago, we were welcomed with great affection by Brian and Carla, who helped us in every moment we were there in Santiago. Very careful in all the details of the tours that were undoubtedly the best. I have no words to thank all affection and care with us.
