Great excursion with Pedro and Marvin. They were passionate and fun. The full day snorkel is an amazing trip!
This was the best experience ever and our guide Nick was fantastic and very knowledgeable. We managed to do so many activities including seeing the Hol Chan barrier reef, swimming with manatees as well as nurse sharks, and petting sting rays. Nick helped us find the best spots for snorkeling and seeing sea horses - and when we went to Caye Caulker we had a very tasty lunch. If you are going to Belize you should definitely book this tour, it was a perfect way to get to explore the marine life in the area!
Thank you for booking with us! , we're glad that you guys had a blast and enjoyed the day getting to see lots of marine life and had a great time with nick as your guide. Regards, Ridge and Reef Adventures:)
I’ve snorkeled all four Hawaiian islands and Sombrero Reef, and this was by far the best snorkeling trip I’ve ever done. From leaving the marina to all the wildlife we saw, the entire experience was incredible. We were a little worried the trip might get canceled because winds were around 18 mph, but the reef is so protected that it ended up being a beautiful and very pleasant day on the water. We saw tons of colorful fish, beautiful coral, stingrays, several sharks at one time, sea turtles, and even a couple of manatees. The guides (Pedro and Andre) were fantastic and made the whole day feel fun, safe, and organized. I highly recommend doing the full-day tour because you get to experience so much more including a traditional lunch on another island, petting stingrays in shallow water, and seeing the cutest little seahorses ever. Truly an unforgettable experience.
Mr.Marvin and Dray were super nice and informative!! They made me and my group feel so comfortable. Amazing hosts, literally 10/10
Many really great marine experiences packed in a single day! guides are very experienced and know exactly what to do. They are also very knowledgeable.
Perfect Day! We saw so much marine life! The boat ride was great and we stopped several places for a full day of adventure! We swam with lots of fish, sea turtles, nurse sharks, sting rays and saw beautiful coral too! Cool stop to have the sting rays swim over you! Seeing Caye Caulker was a great addition to the day and the lunch was excellent! I definitely recommend this day trip!!
This tour was definitely something my boyfriend and I were looking forward to. It was definitely a full day from 8:30am/9am-3pm. My boyfriend took so many pictures from the boat even though he wasn't a strong swimmer and still was able to feed the tarpon fish, see/pet the sting rays and see the nurse sharks from above. He even saw the manatee poke its' head up out of the water. I snorkeled with only one prior snorkeling experience beforehand. It was A LOT of swimming, do not underestimate how big of an area you'll be snorkeling in, and it has at least three snorkeling stops before getting to Caye Caulker and eating lunch. We were led out in two groups experienced snorkelers and inexperienced snorkelers. We all got to see the same thing at our own pace and everyone felt safe and had an amazing day. It became one of our favorite days on our trip. Also, sidenote this is perfect to squeeze in time to see Caye Caulker if you're not staying there because we agreed since the island is so small you don't need a whole day/night there, this excursion was perfect for us to explore everything. We even went to the Caye Caulker Animal shelter to spend time with their animals. I'll never forget it.
This is a great full day experience. The guides were all very attentive to everyone’s safety and gave clear guidance on how to use the snorkeling equipment. They split us up into smaller groups for safety. The vegetarian lunch on caye caulker was a bit disappointing with the meat option only being substituted with a small salad. This wasn’t very filling and the restaurant had other vegetarian options on their menu that could have been included instead. The afternoon did become very hot especially when we went to see the stingrays and feed the tarpons so make sure you have a hat and enough sunscreen. Overall was a great experience.
We booked 2 tours with r and reef and overall everything was fine. My one reco would be they should allow guests to book online and get an email confirmation and receipt. there was a lot of back-and-forth on WhatsApp to book 2 tours, talking to multiple people. Some of them were giving me one word answers, some of them were really helpful. I didn’t know which tour we were doing on which day until just before we left. Also, I was given some wrong information. I was told that they would pick us up, but they could not drop us back off on the full day tour. Turned outpick up and drop off were included in the price. I was also told we would have to pay for our own lunch - that turned out not to be true. Both of these were good surprises, but the restaurant they use on caulker (Paradise) made us wait over 40 mins bc they had another large group. So the plan of eating upon arrival and then Walking around didn’t happen. And if you don’t eat chicken this restaurant gives you rice with a few beans in it, one plantain and a salad. :( The guide was great and overall it was a fun day. However, on a trip this long they really should put guests in a larger boat. The boat we were in was small. it had no back support and not enough shade. I think they ought to try to get every guest on this tour on the larger boat or have more than one large boat. traveling at high speed from Caulker back to Ambregis (not a short trip) in that small of a boat is just really uncomfy.
What an amazing experience!! All the way from the on-site crew to the tour guides. The gentleman checking everyone was very friendly and really helpful finding the correct sizes and fits for everyone’s snorkel gear. The tour guides were friendly/funny/and very knowledgeable about their job and the marine life. I had an issue with my snorkel and kept getting sea water in my mouth; I let the guide know and he was able to provide me with a different mask/snokel and immediately fixed the problem! Thank goodness, as that could have ruined the whole experience! Also everytime before entering the water, they checked my mask and helped make sure it was tight enough. Small but important details. We saw so many amazing sea creatures; two manatees, huge nurse sharks, rays, sea turtles and lots of colorful fish! Feeding the tarpons and sea birds was pretty hilarious. The last stop where you get to hang with the stingrays was really neat too. I could have done without the long “layover” in caye caulker because there wasn’t really much to do aside from Drinking at the lizard bar, and I don’t drink. Fresh fruits, water and sodas aboard were a nice touch, and lunch was very good as well. 10/10 would recommend!!
