Our guide Sylvestre was excellent he had so much knowledge about the history and tragedy that occurred in the area, it was a sombre and humbling experience. We visited Somme Beaumont-Hamel preserved battlefield, The Thiepval memorial to the missing, Pozieres Australian monument, The Lochnagar mine crater, Villers Bretonneux Australian Memorial, The Sir John Monash Visitor Centre which was excellent and highlight of the visit to learn more. We went to local french cafe for lunch which as great. Everything was perfect from communication to ease of booking, modern comfortable van and getting the TGV train from Paris we also had time to do a quick tour of Arras town centre. Highly recommend booking on any of his tours
Our guide, Sylvestre, made this tour so enjoyable and educational. His easy manner, knowledge of the WW1 history and sense of humour made our trip to Amiens and nearby a highlight of our holiday.
We had a great informative day with Sylvestre. Really enthusiastic guy & we don't know how he has done this for so long!
Friendly, relaxed, informative, flexible and punctual. Sylvester is a most experienced tour guide. I asked if he could possibly find a fallen soldier in a given cemetery without much notice and he got us there with ease. It made my/our day! Brilliant
An excellent three day tour of northern France / Flanders battlefields. Sylvestre was engaging, deeply knowledgeable, speaks excellent English, and paced my day trips perfectly. Gaining more perspective than just the Anglo-Australian view of WW1 was a highlight. Strongly recommended.
Fantastic lifetime experience with Sylvestre our great guide with so much knowledge. Very friendly. Beautiful clean vehicle. This tour ticked all our boxes, highly recommended.
Bridgette our guide had excellent knowledge of the Australian involvement on the Somme WWI. The tour lasted 9 hours
We were able to see my Great Uncle’s grave and see the approximate battlefield where he died. The visit to the German cemetery was solemn. We had not considered the German war grave situation previously. Sylvester was a fantastic guide and was very helpful finding my relative.

This was one of the best tours we have done in France. Our guide Sylvester was excellent in his knowledge of the towns we visited and the battles that had occurred there. I would recommend this tour to anyone with an interest in Australia’s WWI history!
